Recap
Chelsea's Premier League stampede was held after 13 wins on the bounce, as Zaha and Benteke replied to a fifth-minute Fabregas opener in quick fashion to earn three unlikely points for the visiting Eagles.
Hazard set Fabregas up for the breakthrough early on, and Chelsea were still reeling from Zaha's leveller when Benteke chipped an onrushing Thibaut Courtois in space to hit them while they were down, via Match of the Day:
Chelsea persevered in their assault and finished with 24 shots on goal, per WhoScored.com, but a second never came for the Stamford Bridge hosts, who are now just seven points ahead of Spurs in the standings.
Earlier on Saturday, Liverpool dominated the Merseyside derby with a 3-1 victory at Anfield to breathe new life into their top-four hopes, and Simon Gleave of Gracenote Sports highlighted the Reds' sterling record against top-half teams:
Toffees centre-back Matthew Pennington cancelled out Mane's opener in his first Premier League appearance of the season, but Coutinho nudged Liverpool back ahead just minutes later before Origi supplied a third in the 60th minute.
Tottenham were made to sweat on their result at Turf Moor and headed in scoreless at the break before second-half goals from Eric Dier and Heung-Min Son rescued three points, with the former content after netting:
Spurs dominated almost two-thirds of possession at Turf Moor and enjoyed the better chances at goal, winning to show they don't need the injured Harry Kane to ensure their title hopes live on.
Chelsea weren't the only side disappointed at home on Saturday, though, as United drew at home for the second league match in a row, and manager Jose Mourinho wasn't happy with West Brom's tactics, via Match of the Day:
The Red Devils were by far the oppressors in that fixture, although Baggies manager Tony Pulis will care little for how his side earn their points, just so long as they continue to do so.
Southampton and Bournemouth also engaged in a derby showdown but were unable to find a breakthrough as managers Claude Puel and Eddie Howe shared the spoils with a 0-0 stalemate.
Ndidi and Vardy bagged goals against Stoke City to hand Leicester manager Shakespeare his fourth successive Premier League win and move the Foxes up to 13th in the league.
They move above West Ham United after Andrew Robertson and Andrea Ranocchia scored to cancel out Andy Carroll's early opener, while Watford were deserving of their slim 1-0 win over Sunderland.
