Masters TV Schedule 2017: Start Time, Live Stream, Coverage Info and More

Brian MarronApr 3, 2017

Jordan Spieth nearly came away with his second straight green jacket a year ago, but will he rebound from his collapse and win the 2017 Masters at Augusta, Georgia, or could another long shot like Danny Willett take the title?

The 23-year-old will have plenty of competition from fellow contenders like Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy. With other tour stalwarts like Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson also expected to play this weekend, the season's first major looks to be must-watch television.

Let's take a look at the viewing schedule for the tournament, including live-stream and television coverage.

Although he is one of the sport's premier players, Spieth does not take much momentum into the Masters.

Spieth missed the cut at the Shell Houston Open last weekend, the final event before Augusta. He did so thanks to a 77 in the second round, and Spieth finished 12th at the World Golf Championships and 22nd in the Genesis Open to mark three straight disappointing outings following five top-10 finishes to start the year.

Still, the Texas native believes he still putted well in Houston, and he said he does not see his recent play carrying into the Masters, per Kevin Casey of Golfweek.com.

"

(I) made strides in my putting this week, which is something I can take a lot of confidence into next week. I was a bit rough around the edges in my putting last week in Austin (for the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play) and really felt like I put better strokes on it here. And putting well next week obviously as we know is important considering I didn't strike it very well last year and was certainly in position to win.

This extra time off could be good for us.

"

Spieth has done well this year from the green, ranking sixth in the PGA with 1.7 putting average in 2016-17. He also led the tournament in putts per greens in regulation at the 2016 Masters at 2.39, so his stroke is obviously strong when working properly.

However, Spieth failed to crack the top 10 of the three remaining majors after his Masters collapse last season, so keep an eye on him to see if he can start performing well again in big stages.

Day and Johnson are other legitimate contenders. As GolfChannel.com's Will Gray noted, these two, along with Spieth, are among the most recently accomplished players in the field:

Day has struggled in 2017, notching just one top 10 finish so far and missing the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. He is also dealing with some personal issues, as his mother has lung cancer. Yet he is planning on teeing it up at Augusta, and he is hoping the tournament can help ease his mind.

"For the first time in about a month-and-a-half I was happy to be on the golf course. I was enjoying myself again," Day said of his Saturday practice session at Augusta, per PGATour.com's Ben Everill.

"It's been really, really hard to enjoy myself. But I think things are starting to brighten up. So it would be nice to get back on track here."

Day could use that emotion to fuel him, as he experienced success at this course in the past. He has two top-five finishes in his career at the Masters.

On the other hand, Johnson is playing tremendous golf at the moment.

He leads the tour in total earnings and FedEx Cup points this season, while also winning each of the last two tournaments he played in. Johnson finished in the top six in each of the past two Masters, meaning he already proved he can play this course well.

Johnson is the favorite to win this weekend, according to OddsShark.com, so it should come as no surprise to expect him near the top of the leaderboard throughout the tournament.

McIlroy is another guy to watch at Augusta.

The Masters is the only major tournament that he has yet to win, as his best finish was fourth place in 2015. His main career goal is now to win the Masters, and he told ESPN's Marty Smith that the tournament is a void he is still looking to fill.

"

I'd love to give you an answer and say my life is already fulfilled, with everything that's happened, and everything that's going to happen in the future, by starting a family and all that. But if I didn't have a green jacket, there'd be a tiny piece that would just be missing. It really would be.

And yeah, I'd be lying if I said, as a person ... yeah. I wouldn't be fulfilled if I didn't get it.

"

He finished in the top 10 in all four tournaments he played in this season, including three top-five results. McIlroy looks primed to challenge for a green jacket this year, and expect him to battle with the three previously mentioned golfers on Sunday.
