Chelsea Transfer News: Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata Decision, Latest Rumours
Chelsea have reportedly set aside £70 million to bring in a new striker this summer but are torn between Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata and Everton's Romelu Lukaku.
According to The Sun's Andrew Dillon, manager Antonio Conte wants to sign the former, while technical director Michael Emenalo is hoping to bring the latter back to Chelsea.
Dillon added the Blues could target both players this summer, but that would be contingent on Michy Batshuayi being moved on in order to raise funds.

Here's a look at the pair's numbers for the season:
| Apps | 30 | 34 |
| Starts | 29 | 14 |
| Minutes | 2,637 | 1,425 |
| Goals | 22 | 13 |
| Assists | 7 | 4 |
| Minutes-per-goal | 120 | 110 |
Of course, Lukaku has scored and assisted more partly thanks to playing more matches.
Bleacher Report UK's Sam Tighe believes that while the Belgian has been in excellent form of late, he has not always been at his best this season:
Indeed, as outstanding a player as the striker is thanks to his pace, power and predatory instincts, there are still some areas of his game that need improving.
According to Squawka, the forward has completed just 66 per cent of his attempted passes in the Premier League this term, which is a worrying figure.
He has created 37 chances, but his poor accuracy has also resulted in plenty of moves breaking down in the final third.
As for Morata, he's less prolific than the Belgium international, but despite occupying a back-up role to Real Madrid's front three, the Spaniard has still managed to impress and chip in with plenty of goals himself—he has a better minutes-per-goal ratio, too.
Bleacher Report UK's Karl Matchett noted his impact as a substitute this season:
If given more game time at Stamford Bridge, he'd likely be able to show his qualities more frequently, and so he would also make an excellent option for the Blues.
Whether he or Lukaku arrives at Chelsea this summer, it's bad news for Batshuayi if Diego Costa remains at the club.
Batshuayi has played just 497 minutes of senior football for the Blues since arriving last summer, with just 93 of those coming in the Premier League.
Like Morata, he has been able to take advantage of the limited opportunities he's been presented, having racked up five goals and three assists in that time.
However, even with Chelsea having European football next season, it's difficult to see him being given many minutes if just one more forward is brought in, let alone two.
As such, it wouldn't be too surprising if he makes way for one of the pair.
