Bobby Roode Beats Shinsuke Nakamura to Retain NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver
Bobby Roode proved Saturday that his title reign is no fluke, as he beat Shinsuke Nakamura once again at NXT TakeOver: Orlando to retain the NXT Championship.

Roode became NXT champion at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio the night before the Royal Rumble.
Nakamura appeared well on his way to retaining the title, but he was compromised by a knee injury and was unable to capitalize after hitting Roode with his signature Kinshasa knee strike.
The Glorious One took advantage of the situation by locking Nakamura into a half crab and then finishing him off with the Glorious DDT.
In the following weeks, the King of Strong Style slowly worked his way back from the injury, while Roode boisterously declared that NXT belonged to him.
The stage was set for a highly anticipated rematch between Roode and Nakamura, but the Canadian Superstar had a major hurdle to clear before that bout could happen.
A returning Kassius Ohno challenged Roode to a title match, which prompted NXT general manager William Regal to sign it into action.
Ohno came close to dethroning Roode on numerous occasions; however, the resourceful veteran used the ring ropes to his advantage and escaped with the championship in tow.
That made Roode vs. Nakamura official, and Nakamura was emphatic in his desire to end Roode's tyranny, according to WWE NXT on Twitter:
The two combatants had plenty to live up to heading toward NXT TakeOver: Orlando, as their match at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio was arguably among the greatest in NXT history.
Both Superstars played their respective roles to near perfection, and the story of Roode working over an injured body part was both simplistic and excellent.
While Saturday's match may not have definitively surpassed what they did in San Antonio, Roode and Nakamura once again managed to live up to the hype and deliver a main event worthy of the biggest NXT show of the year.
Roode's victory means he will continue his "Glorious Era" in NXT, and it could also mean that Nakamura's time with WWE's developmental brand is running out.
Nakamura is undoubtedly ready for WWE's main roster, and the fact that he is now out of the NXT Championship picture suggests he could make his debut as soon as Monday on Raw or Tuesday on SmackDown.
