Winter Storm Stella isn't going to stop fans from watching the first-round games in Buffalo, as that city is hosting a jam-packed group of games.

First, ACC power Notre Dame will try to hold off Ivy League champion Princeton. The Ivy League has done quite well in the first round this decade, winning four of seven first-round games.

Next, West Virginia will face off against Bucknell. WVU has a fantastic pressure defense that leads Division I in steals, but don't sleep on the 26-win Bison, who won at Vanderbilt this year and shoot 48 percent from the field.

Defending national champion Villanova will play in the first night game, and Wisconsin, a strong team that was well under-seeded at No. 8, will take on No. 9 Virginia Tech.

Elsewhere, keep an eye out for South Dakota State sharpshooter Mike Daum (25.4 points per game), two potential 5/12 upsets (Minnesota vs. Middle Tennessee and Iowa State vs. Nevada), Northwestern's first appearance in the NCAA tournament and a Floridian battle between Florida State and FGCU in Orlando.

Friday gets things going right away as Michigan looks to continue its postseason run of destiny. The Wolverines won the Big Ten tournament as a No. 8 seed, upsetting Purdue, Minnesota and Wisconsin along the way, after a horrifying plane accident that took place right when they were about to take off for the tournament in Washington D.C. All were well afterward, thankfully.

The team is playing very well, winning 10 of their last 12 with those two losses being an overtime defeat at Minnesota and a buzzer-beating loss on a Hail Mary pass and ensuing layup against Northwestern in the regular season. In other words, they've either won or competed throughout the entire game in their last 12.

Elsewhere, keep an eye out for some star freshmen (and future NBA pros) in their first-ever NCAA tournament games.

Kentucky guards Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox and big man Bam Adebayo will take on first-time NCAA tournament participant Northern Kentucky, and UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball and big man TJ Leaf will face Kent State in the nightcap.

All five players are projected to go in the top 16 of the NBA draft, per nbadraft.net.

Odds information per BetOnline (h/t OddsShark)

A few things stand out.

First, Duke has the second-best odds to win the entire tournament, even though it is a No. 2 seed and in the same regional as defending champion Villanova.

Second, Arizona vaulted up the odds chart this week and now sits tied for fourth-best with No. 1 seed Kansas at 17-2.

Finally, West Virginia has the 11th-best odds in the field at 22-1, despite being a No. 4 seed and facing potential dangerous matchups with the winner of the Notre Dame-Princeton game in the second round and Villanova in the Sweet 16.
