Premier League Table: Final Week 17 2016 Standings, Results and Week 18 Fixtures
Liverpool climbed back within six points of Premier League leaders Chelsea on Monday after a 94th-minute strike from Sadio Mane gave the Reds an early Christmas present, beating the Toffees 1-0 in the Merseyside derby.
The two local rivals engaged in a rather dull tug-of-war for large chunks of the Goddison Park clash, but Mane's perseverance saw the Senegal international tap home a Daniel Sturridge rebound to move his side back into second.
The result means manager Ronald Koeman's side failed to build on last Tuesday's 2-1 win over Arsenal and remain ninth in the standings, a considerable 14 points and seven places lower than their derby foes.
Liverpool's win was also the last result played before the Premier League enjoys a Christmas respite, ready to pick back up on Boxing Day as Week 18 gets underway.
Read on for a look at the updated 2016-17 Premier League standings after Monday's result brought an end to Week 17, complete with a roundup of the Week 18 fixture schedule and a preview of the biggest Boxing Day clashes.

Arsenal vs. West Bromwich Albion
Arsenal will hope some festive cheer is enough to lift their spirits at home to West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day, where they welcome the Baggies hoping to put an end to their two-match losing streak.
Last Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City was the second game in succession the Gunners have let a 1-0 lead slip before conceding twice, and football writer Samuel Jay C recently noted the must-win nature of their upcoming fixtures:ย
After enjoying six Premier League wins in a row between late August and mid-October, per Statto, Arsenal have now won just four of their last nine outings, and theย Guardian's Barney Ronay lamented their early-season form as a bad omen:
Manager Tony Pulis' side will be no pushovers in north London either, after they moved up to eighth in the Premier League, although West Brom are without a win in their last two away league meetings.
Sitting in fourth and nine points off leaders Chelsea, the Gunners face the prospect of slipping out of the title race with anything but a win, while three points could be enough to see West Brom into seventh spot.
Southampton vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Wednesday, December 28 will see Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino return to an old stomping ground at St. Mary's Stadium with the intention of handing former employers Southampton their first defeat in five matches.
The Saints have been defensively imperious of late, however, andย centre-back Virgil van Dijk has been crucial to bringing about any recent success, and he reacted positively to Sunday's 3-1 derby win over Bournemouth:
Tottenham enjoyed a Week 17 win of their own on Sunday and were 2-1 victors against Burnley, and while the win wasn't as glamorous, Pochettino was no less pleased with the three points:
The trip south is a daunting one for Spurs, too, considering they've failed to score in each of their last two away matches, while the Saintsย have kept clean sheets in each of their last three home league matches.
In fact, Tottenham have still clinched just a single away win in the Premier League this termโbeating Middlesbrough 2-1 at the Riverside in Septemberโmeaning Pochettino could be in for a glum return to St. Mary's.
