Jackson got the scoring barrage started early, running for a 69-yard score on the third play from scrimmage.
Rapper Wale offered his take:

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Jackson's first rushing touchdown of the day also gave him another new chapter in the Louisville record book:
But he's a top dual-threat quarterback for a reason, and he found James Quick and Jaylen Smith for touchdowns to give Louisville a 21-0 first-quarter edge.
In case you were curious what Jackson's stat line looked like after 15 minutes, we have you covered:
Things would only get worse from there for Boston College.
The Cardinals needed just 16 seconds in the second quarter to find the end zone again, when Jackson hit Quick for a 10-yard score. His fifth touchdown came eight minutes later, giving Louisville a 35-0 lead in less than 21 minutes.
Per ESPN Stats & Info, Jackson's five touchdowns in the first half Saturday helped him accomplish something that hadn't been done in a decade:
If that's not enough to illustrate how good Jackson was, SportsCenter attempted to one-up things with this nugget:
Things would briefly slow down for Jackson and the Cardinals after his fifth touchdown. He threw an interception on Louisville's next possession, and backup Kyle Bolin replaced him to close out the first half.
Going back to ESPN Stats & Info, Jackson is on pace to set a new FBS record for touchdowns in a single season:
For the record, Colt Brennan had 63 total touchdowns over 14 games for Hawaii in 2006. Jackson will have at least four more games this season, though that number could climb with the ACC Championship Game and College Football Playoff.
Jackson added to that tally, however, and currently sits at 45 total touchdowns on the season. Following his 53-yard touchdown run that put Louisville up 52-7 late in the third quarter, his day officially ended.
Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports offered this summation of what he saw from Jackson:
Former Louisville basketball player Peyton Siva Jr. was paying close attention to what Jackson was doing for his alma mater:
Even with top running backs such as Leonard Fournette and Donnel Pumphrey dazzling on the field each week, it's hard to argue against Jackson as college football's most dynamic runner. It just so happens Jackson can stand in the pocket to deliver the ball downfield as well.
Jackson will have to hold off Clemson's Deshaun Watson, Michigan's Jabrill Peppers and Washington's Jake Browning for the Heisman, but it's his award to lose.
