Indians Fan Skips Class for Game 1, Sends Selfie to Teacher, Avoids Trouble

Professors like baseball too.

After missing a Tuesday class for Game 1 of the 2016 World Series, Twitter user and Ohio University student Charles Turner sent a selfie to his teacher, Damian R. Nance, who had inquired about his absence.

Turner was upfront. He explained that he checked in to class to hand in an assignment. Then he left for Progressive Field and watched the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago Cubs, 6-0.     

The professor, clearly a fan, understood.

"Charlie. That looks like an impeccable excuse. No repercussions. Go Tribe!"
