Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Kingsley Coman and Denis Suarez
Pep Guardiola will reportedly try and bring Kingsley Coman to Manchester City if Bayern Munich opt not to sign the Juventus loanee on a permanent deal.
Reports in Spain indicate City manager Guardiola would welcome the chance to work with lightning-fast French winger Coman again, according to Spanish source Sport (h/t Metro's Michael Cantillon).
Cantillon wrote: "The same Spanish publication also goes on to claim that having worked successfully together in Munich, Guardiola could be tempted to enter the fray for Coman should Bayern waive their option to sign him permanently."

Coman not completing 90 minutes once so far this season for Bayern is said to be putting the Bundesliga giants off a permanent deal, despite the player's obvious talent—the 20-year-old possesses the pace to overwhelm any defence.

Coman is also capable of immaculate close control and devilish delivery from the flanks. In addition, the rapid attacker is even versatile enough to play in the middle as a supporting forward.
It's this flexibility that Guardiola would surely value highly. More than most managers, the Spaniard loves to build his teams around versatile attacking midfielders who form fluid and shape-shifting forward contingents in the final third.
If Bayern really are put off by the idea of making Coman 100 percent their player, it would represent an about-turn. Back in August, the Munich club was reportedly keen to activate the £18 million clause to end the France international's two-year loan agreement.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge made this confident claim to German source TZ (h/t MailOnline's Rhodri Cannon): "There is a huge probability that we will exercise our option to buy Kingsley."
Munich may be having second thoughts, but Guardiola knows better than most how Coman can change a game. He found that out when he used the loan player to torment parent club Juventus in last season's UEFA Champions League.

Guardiola brought Coman off the bench, and he assisted Thomas Muller's equaliser before scoring Bayern's fourth in a 4-2 second-leg win in the last 16, per Reuters (h/t the Guardian).
City's ranks are already littered with precocious forward talents, such as Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane. However, Coman would be too dynamic a prospect to turn down.
City to Cash In from Denis Suarez Transfer
From one attacking midfielder City may sign to one the Manchester club let go but can still benefit from. The Citizens are due money from Denis Suarez's summer move to Barcelona.
A former City academy player, Suarez left for Barcelona, joined Villarreal and eventually rejoined the Camp Nou club. It's a deal reportedly set to net City as much as €8.8 million (£7.9 million) thanks to clauses built into the 22-year-old playmaker's contract.

Spanish publications AS and Mundo Deportivo (h/t ESPN FC's Samuel Marsden) detailed those clauses: "...a further €800,000 if and when he became part of the first team and then an additional €800,000 for each 10 official matches he plays up until his 100th appearance."
Ironically, Marsden pointed out that as it happens, Suarez will hit 10 first-team appearances if he appears against City in the upcoming Champions League clash in Barcelona.
The chances of it happening seem likely, according to Marsden, who noted how Barca manager Luis Enrique usually calls on ex-Villarreal schemer Suarez from the bench.
While City can reap the rewards of the player's rapid career rise, they might also be tempted to wonder about what might have been. After all, Suarez has blossomed into an astute and creative force in the final third. He has the knack for gliding away from markers with the ball before picking precise passes between the lines.
Obviously, Guardiola's squad isn't short of creative types, so the Citizens will likely just be glad to collect their fees from the continued development of one of their former fledglings.
Yet ample attacking midfield resources shouldn't deter Guardiola from exploring any possible deal for Coman, a player whose stardom seems inevitable.
