Friday Recap
Chisnall gave Van Gerwen a stiff test, but the Dutch master prevailed in Dublin.
3 Dart Analyst gave the vital statistics before the match:

The Dutchman began with his reliable lightning pace, but he struggled to find his usual maximums with each visit to the oche.
However, Van Gerwen sprinted to a 1-0 lead as Chisnall fought to hang on in the earliest moments of the match.
Chizzy found another gear as he played his way into the contest, and the St Helens player stunned Mighty Mike by winning back-to-back sets.
3 Dart Analyst called the action as Van Gerwen scratched his head:

The Netherlands hero bullied his way through the fourth set to make it 2-2, but Chisnall remained cool and calm.
However, Van Gerwen was efficient after the break and ate up the legs as Chisnall began to ebb away from contention for the first time.
The 27-year-old found double 16 to close out another set to make it 3-2, but Chisnall continued to chase his illustrious opponent.
Chizzy hit a treble 20, but Van Gerwen found double eight to win the encounter.

Anderson was quickly out the blocks against Van Barneveld, as the Dutch veteran was caught in the headlights of the Flying Scotsman.
3 Dart Analyst once again gave a preview of the players' vital stats:
The reigning world champion won the first two legs, but his opponent struck back, reversing the pressure. Anderson won the opening set with double 14, as the Dutchman lost a set for the first time during the current competition.
It appeared Anderson would break Van Barneveld after he missed a succession of doubles, but Anderson stuttered, allowing the 49-year-old to level the score at 1-1. Barney looked ready to claim the third set as he oozed class with each throw, but Anderson dug deep and made it 2-1.
The Dutchman appeared tired in his throwing, and Anderson broke the throw, as Van Barneveld missed three chances of a double to win the set, conceding it to the Scot. Anderson won back-to-back sets to make it 3-1.

The Scotsman powered forward to complete the win, taking the semi-final 4-1 and beating his opponent into submission.
Van Gerwen was seriously tested on Friday, and if he plays like this in the final, Anderson has the skill to cause a shock.
The world champion's form was much improved against Barney, and once again he is producing his best darts at the business end of a major competition.
