Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Inaki Williams and Alexander Isak
Liverpool could reportedly go head-to-head with Everton for the capture of Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams.
That's according to Ian Doyle of the Liverpool Echo, with "a number of news outlets" reporting the clubs could activate his €50 million release clause in January.
The 22-year-old winger, who can also provide cover at centre-forward, is a highly promising prospect who enjoyed a breakout season with the Basque side last year, as he notched 13 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Spanish football expert Sergi Dominguez remarked on his rise midway through the campaign:
Here are some of his highlights:
As football writer Sid Lowe demonstrated, the Spaniard is renowned for his electric pace:
One area he could work on is his final ball—according to Squawka, he created just 14 chances in 25 La Liga appearances last season, a tally he'd be expected to improve on greatly at Anfield.
Nevertheless, Williams' skillful and dynamic play could see him fit in well with Liverpool's rampant, almost chaotic attacking play in the final third.
The Reds have been in exceptional form going forward this season:
Williams is further along in his development than the likes of Reds youngster Sheyi Ojo, but after bringing in Sadio Mane in the summer, Liverpool aren't in desperate need of Williams' services—it's unlikely he'd be a regular starter.
In that case and given how much he'd cost, it's unlikely they will make a move for him.
Meanwhile, according to Nicola Balice of Italian outlet Calciomercato.com (h/t Joe Short of the Express), Southampton and Leicester City have joined the race to sign Swedish starlet Alexander Isak.
The 17-year-old sensation bagged a brace for AIK on Sunday, taking his tally to nine goals in 20 senior appearances this season. Here's a look at why he's attracting so much attention:
Indeed, the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to be scouting him, so Liverpool will face plenty of competition to sign him if they make a bid.
Whichever club lands him will have pulled off a significant coup, but they'll need to ensure he continues his development in order to reach his potential.
