HS Football Team Uses Roses to Show Support for Cheerleader with Leukemia

Moments like this are when sports can be used for a bigger purpose.
Foothill High School (Palo Cedro, CA) senior cheerleader Ashley Adamietz was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia last month. In a show of support, the school's football team—led by No. 55 Ryan Caetano—presented Adamietz with orange roses as players walked onto the field before a recent game.
The color orange represents leukemia awareness.
