WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around Alberto Del Rio, Bo Dallas and More
A cloud of uncertainty hangs over the WWE careers of both Alberto Del Rio and Bo Dallas.
A reported change in Del Rio's schedule could be the precursor to the company letting the former world champion go. There isn't anything concrete to go on now regarding the situation, but there is reason aplenty to speculate that The Pride of Mexico has at least one foot out the door.
As for Dallas, word traveled online about an incident in an airport that involved him singing Lion King songs. It didn't take long for that story to morph from unsubstantiated to verified.

The condition of Cesaro's back also generated buzz in the WWE world this week. Before we dive into that rumor, let's look back at one from last week that turned out to be absolutely true.
A Quick Look Back
The Dudley Boyz bid fans farewell on last Monday's Raw, but it wasn't clear if the goodbyes were simply a setup for an angle. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson ambushed the former tag team champs. Would Bubba Ray and D-Von seek revenge?
Last week, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com wrote, "WWE and the Dudleys amicably agreed to part ways and that the team would finish out on Raw."
The legitimacy of The Dudley Boyz' exit became even clearer following that report. For one, Bubba Ray issued a series of thank-yous and hat tips on his Twitter feed.
And he and D-Von already have post-WWE gigs.
Insane Championship Wrestling will welcome The Dudley Boyz to its Fear & Loathing IX event on Nov. 20. The promotion made the announcement on its Facebook page.
Gallows and Anderson won't be feuding with the future Hall of Famers. The Dudley Boyz will instead be free agents, able to cherry-pick the opportunities outside of WWE they want to seize.
The Airport Incident
Former NXT champ Dallas (real name: Taylor Michael Rotunda) was at the center of a strange story.
Steven Bell, host of the Late Shift podcast, first caught wind of it. He began to live-tweet as a drunken Dallas became unruly in the Dallas-Fort Worth airport over the weekend.
At first, that was the only thing anyone had to go on. Several outlets quoted Bell's tweets but offered no further confirmation.
The internet had already run with the tale, but there was reason to be skeptical until more information had emerged. It has.
PWInsider.com's Johnson reported:
"A police report obtained by PWInsider.com notes that Rotunda was arrested for public intoxication/drunkenness at 7:25 PM local Dallas time after officers were made aware of someone who was removed from an Envoy flight to Puebla, Mexico after yelling expletives at flight crew members. The individual had left his carry-on luggage behind and began walking towards other departure gates.
"
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet posted the police report. Dave Meltzer confirmed the arrest on F4WOnline.com, as well.
It's now quite clear what happened.
The conversation will now turn to WWE's reaction. The company has yet to issue a statement. One can only imagine that Dallas is in line for a sustained stay in the doghouse.
Cesaro's Spine
Sheamus flipped Cesaro over into a ring post en route to going up 2-0 in their best-of-seven series. The Celtic Warrior's attack on Monday's Raw left some fans unsure where kayfabe ended and reality began.
The company played up the damage to Cesaro's back. WWE.com announced, "Cesaro suffered multiple contusions to the lumbar spine during his match against Sheamus Monday on Raw."
The injury isn't real, though.
Only WWE.com has claimed the Swiss Superman's spine is actually hurt. Meanwhile, Johnson wrote for PWInsider.com, "The injury is part of the Cesaro vs. Sheamus storyline narrative."
Cesaro's back issues are no more legit than Big E's recent case of "ringpostitis." This is likely just a way to swing the odds in Sheamus' favor, making The King of Swing's eventual comeback all the more dramatic.
Del Rio Poised to Leave?
The Pride of Mexico's days as a WWE Superstar may be numbered.
Del Rio, currently serving a 30-day suspension for violating the company's wellness policy, is possibly not returning at all. Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc) that WWE has pulled Del Rio from upcoming events, even those scheduled after his suspension is set to end.
There is also a reported out clause in Del Rio's contract, which Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio in July (h/t Nick Paglino of Wrestle Zone).
Signs point to the two sides going separate ways, but nothing is certain for now. WWE is still in need of Superstars to maintain roster depth. And Del Rio's other options likely won't be as beneficial to his pocketbook.
This is certainly a story to keep an eye on. It may not be long before Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground have the option of signing the talented former world champ.
