Recap

Taylor came into the Perth Masters in sensational form, winning the Sydney Darts Masters against Van Gerwen, but the Power quickly fell behind Cadby and was unable to keep up with the Australian's fine finishing.
Cadby was converting over 75 per cent of his doubles at one point to take a 3-2 lead, and a 122 checkout and a miss on the bull by Taylor moved Cadby within one leg of a huge win.
A tops checkout sealed the deal, and as shared by TABtouch, Cadby was speechless after his win:
Cadby was the only Oceanian qualifier to find some success on Thursday, as the PDC's top stars all took care of business. Wade didn't give Rob Szabo a single leg, and Jackpot lost just three against David Platt.
Anderson also lost just three against Kim Lewis, running out to a quick 3-0 lead and controlling the match from that point onwards. Lewis converted 60 per cent of his doubles, but he simply couldn't keep up with the Flying Scotsman's explosive scoring―Anderson even landed an 11-darter.

Van Gerwen was far from his best in his win over Kyle Anderson, needing 10 legs to book his spot in the next round.
As shared by Live Darts, he scored well below his usual, lofty standards, only cracking 100+ with seven throws:
In the final match of the day, Australia's top-seeded player, Simon Whitlock, managed just 11 per cent on the doubles against Van Barneveld, who lost only two legs on his way to the next round.
Like Cadby, Barney took the final four legs after splitting the first four, finishing the job with double seven.
Barney will meet Lewis in the quarter-finals, while Cadby will try to continue his Cinderella run against Peter Wright. Wade and Van Gerwen will renew their rivalry, and the match between Anderson and Dave Chisnall should be the fixture of the round.
