Barcelona Transfer News: Munir El Haddadi Exit Rumours, Latest on Paco Alcacer
Barcelona's Munir El Haddadi will reportedly move to Celta Vigo this summer if the club brings in Valencia striker Paco Alcacer.
According to Cadena Cope, (h/t Marca's Luis F. Rojo, adapted by Euan McTear), Alcacer's move to the Camp Nou could still be on the cards—if it goes through, Munir will head to Celta on a season-long loan deal to garner more first-team experience.
Barca need a fourth forward to provide cover for their front three, and it appears that either Munir or Alcacer will take the role this season.

The 20-year-old has been on the fringes of the first team for some time and made 26 appearances in all competitions last year. Here are some of his highlights:
Meanwhile, Alcacer—who turns 23 on Tuesday—has developed into a key player for Los Che and has also made 13 appearances for Spain's national side.
Here's a look at the numbers the pair put down last season:
| Apps (all comps) | 46 | 26 |
| Minutes | 3,087 | 1,634 |
| Goals | 15 | 8 |
| Assists | 8 | 7 |
| Mins/Goal or Assist | 134 | 109 |
Given how little time he spent on the pitch, Munir contributed well last year. Of course, it should also be taken into account that he was playing for a title-winning side featuring immensely talented players who can provide him with ammunition and finish the chances he creates.
By contrast, Alcacer returned a thoroughly respectable goal tally in a poor, struggling team; figures that also deserve admiration.
Spanish football expert Sergi Dominguez believes keeping Munir would be the better option, while Bleacher Report UK's Rik Sharma can see the logic in recruiting Alcacer:
At this moment in time, the Valencia forward is further along in his development and could probably have a more immediate impact.
There isn't room for both players in the squad and while a loan deal ensures Munir would return next summer, unless Alcacer struggles or one of the front three is sensationally sold, there won't be space for him then either.
As noted by ESPN FC's Graham Hunter, the Blaugrana must also consider the wider implications of choosing a new signing over a La Masia graduate:
Indeed, as Hunter notes, the last academy players to be promoted to the first team and be handed a regular starting place were Pedro and Sergio Busquets eight years ago.
Alcacer could make a fine signing—he'd likely be a stronger back-up than Munir and therefore allow manager Luis Enrique to rest and rotate his forwards more regularly.
Equally, Munir is a fine prospect—Celta would almost certainly offer more game time, but another year at Barca working with their front three could also help his development.
As far as dilemmas go it's not a bad one to have, but the club do have a decision to make—they should do so carefully.
