Little League World Series 2016: Sunday Schedule, TV Info and Bracket Prediction
Four teams won elimination games Saturday at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and four more teams will have the opportunity to assert themselves as tournament favorites Sunday.
Teams from Mexico, Curacao, Rhode Island and California were all successful in their bid to remain alive for the championship. Sunday's action will see teams that won their first-round games playing against each other in double-elimination games.
The Little League World Series consists of two double-elimination tournaments that feature eight international teams and eight American teams. After the two bracket champions are determined, those two winners will meet Aug. 28 in the Little League Championship Game.
Losses by Tokyo (Japan) and Emilia, Italy (Europe-Africa), eliminated those teams on the international side Saturday, while Bend, Oregon (Northwest), and San Antonio, Texas (Southwest), were eliminated from the United States bracket.

Bend and San Antonio were both shut out in their elimination losses. Domenic Brazeau had three hits to lead Warwick, Rhode Island (New England), to the victory. Pitcher Colin Lemieux threw four scoreless innings while giving up three hits in the 8-0 victory over the Oregon representative.
Chula Vista, California (West), relied on the pitching of Victor Lizarraga in its victory over San Antonio. Lizarraga threw a two-hit shutout and struck out nine, as the Texas hitters were unable to figure him out. Devin Hinojosa supported the pitcher with a third-inning home run.
Vancouver, Canada, will meet Seoul, South Korea, Sunday at 5 p.m. in a game that will be televised by ESPN.
Vancouver defeated defending champion Japan 10-4 in its opening game, as the Canadians put together a relentless offense that was led by Loreto Siniscalchi. He had two hits in the victory, including a home run. It was Canada's first opening-game victory in the tournament since 2012.
Seoul used the pitching of Junho Jeong and the hitting of Minho Choi to defeat Latin America 3-0 in its first Little League World Series effort. Jeong struck out 10 hitters in four innings, while Choi had two hits in the victory.
Goodlettsville, Tennessee (Southeast), will meet Endwell, New York (Mid-Atlantic), at 3 p.m. in a game that will be televised by ABC.
Goodlettsville won its opening game 3-2 over Bend in walk-off fashion on Robert Carroll's two-run double with two outs in the sixth inning.
Endwell was led by Ryan Harlost, who had three extra-base hits and gave up three hits in five innings of work.
The four games scheduled for Sunday all involve teams that won their openers in the Little League World Series, meaning that none of the games will eliminate the losers.
