Recap
Taylor set a "PDC travelling events" record with a brilliant 112.41 average to help see off Anderson, according to Sky Sports.
The Power credited his performance on the checkouts as the backbone of his impressive 10-2 win, per the same report: "The checking out was some of the best I've ever done in my whole career. I just seemed to be very relaxed and didn't feel the pressure at all, and I felt lovely and comfortable."

His reward is a place in the final four against Chisnall, who saw off Adrian Lewis. The former hit a maximum, then a double-three to even the match at one leg apiece early on. Later, Chisnall wrapped up victory over Jackpot when he took out 86 leading 9-5 to close things out.
Then it was the turn of Wright to make relatively easy work of Rhys Mathewson. Snakebite hit a 121 finish to claim the first leg, before striking double-eight to move into control.
Another great checkout let Wright keep Mathewson at bay:
It was one more double-eight that eventually saw Wright through. However, things are going to be a lot tougher for Snakebite when he faces off against an on-form MVG.
Van Gerwen was magnificent against a game Kyle Anderson. The Dutchman's scoring average consistently held off Anderson's attempts to build his own momentum in front of his home fans, per Live Darts:
Such a scoring barrage was rough on Anderson, who twice checked out on 160. Yet Van Gerwen took down 170 then struck double-15 to seal the win.
Van Gerwen's overall proficiency at the oche was typically prolific:
Defending champion Taylor continues to defy father time, but even the Power is going to struggle to match Van Gerwen, who looks unstoppable at the moment.
