Manchester City Transfer News: Claudio Bravo Fee Set Amid Joe Hart Loan Rumours
Manchester City have reportedly agreed a deal with Barcelona "in principle" to sign goalkeeper Claudio Bravo for £17 million.
As a result, current Sky Blues No. 1 Joe Hart has been told he he has no immediate place in new manager Pep Guardiola's side and will go out on loan, with Sevilla and Everton both interested in taking him, per MailOnline's Simon Jones.
Jones added that Barca have opted to let Bravo, 33, leave for City rather than dispense with 24-year-old German Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is now likely to take up the No. 1 role at the Camp Nou when he recovers from a knee injury.

Ter Stegen has played second fiddle to Bravo at Barca over the last two seasons, and it was recently rumoured he would force a move away from the club to gain first-team football, with City heavily linked, per Duncan Wright in the Sun.
However, the Manchester outfit are now closing in on picking up the excellent Bravo, who has played a key role in both Barcelona and Chile's huge successes over the last two years—he has won two La Liga titles, a Champions League and two Copa Americas since 2014.
He is much more of a Guardiola-type goalkeeper than Hart, with the Spanish manager famed for favouring stoppers who can play the ball out from the back, per Bleacher Report's Dean Jones:
Per Opta's Duncan Alexander, Bravo's distribution is fantastic and he should play a vital role for Guardiola if and when he moves to the Etihad Stadium:
Hart's star has fallen significantly in the last few months. Per Whoscored.com (via the Telegraph's Ali Tweedale), he endured a torrid time with England at Euro 2016, making key mistakes against Wales and Iceland:
In Guardiola's first two competitive matches as City manager—Saturday's Premier League clash with Sunderland and Tuesday's UEFA Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucharest—he named Willy Caballero in goal ahead of Hart.
At 29 years old, Hart is still an excellent player with huge Premier League experience, and he could be major asset at a club where a ball-playing goalkeeper is not a necessity.
It is unsurprising that Everton and Sevilla are seemingly eager to take him on loan, while Sky Sports' Tim Clement believes Liverpool could be interested now that Loris Karius is set for a spell on the sidelines.
