Olympic 2016 Medal Count: Wednesday's Easy-to-View Nation Rankings and Results
Great Britain's unparalleled success in track cycling continued at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday as Laura Trott and Jason Kenny claimed gold medals in the women's omnium and men's keirin.
The success made Trott Great Britain's greatest female Olympian ever, with four gold medals in her career, as fiance Kenny equalled Sir Chris Hoy's British record of six Olympic golds over three Games.
Becky James and Katy Marchant finished second and third, respectively, behind Germany's Kristina Vogel in the women's sprint to add more medals to their country's haul as Team GB dominated at the velodrome.

The United States continued their dominance in South America, once again upping their medal tally.
American superstar Simone Biles secured her fourth gold medal of the Olympics, scoring a 15.966 to take the women's floor title and add to her all-around, vault and team golds.
Heading into Wednesday, the United States has solidified a robust lead in the medal count. Here's an updated look at the standings:

Trott and Kenny continued their Olympic success as the darlings of British cycling, scooping golds at the velodrome.
The seemingly unbeatable duo, who raced to stardom at the 2012 London Games, proved they haven't lost a bit of their pace or class over the past four years.
Trott's victory was expected as she ripped apart her competition, but hearts were in mouths as Kenny was investigated for a false start that could have ended his competition.
However, the rider was allowed to continue in the final, and he timed his dash to perfection, whipping round the final bend.
Hoy, a six-time Olympic champion, was impressed as Kenny equalled his tally of cycling golds:

Biles once again showed the world why she is the central star of her sport, as she collected her fourth gold medal at her first Olympic Games.
The American finished with a score of 15.966, while team-mate Aly Raisman won silver and Great Britain's Amy Tinkler captured bronze.
ESPN Stats & Info showed how important Biles' victory was:
The largest roar of the day was reserved for Brazil hero Robson Conceicao, who defeated Sofiane Oumiha of France for the gold medal in the 60-kilogram boxing category.
The home support was similar to what one would expect from a riotous football crowd, as they sang songs of adulation and cheered on their countryman.
Conceicao won by unanimous decision after punishing the Frenchman in the opening two rounds.

Brazil have underachieved in Rio, but two medals on Tuesday will be warmly appreciated after Isaquias Queiroz dos Santos won silver behind Germany's Sebastian Brendel in the men's single 1,000-metre canoe sprint.
Some of the best action is yet to come, as Wednesday sees the women's long jump final and men's 3,000-metre steeplechase on the track.
The men's final in the 200 metres is scheduled to take place on Thursday, and the Rio crowd hope to cheer on speed king Usain Bolt to another success.
Bolt appeared to be in his best shape of recent years as he swept to the 100-metre gold medal, and no one would bet against him repeating his form one more time.
