NBC Olympics Schedule 2016: Rio Tuesday Event Guide, Live-Stream Info and Picks
Tuesday is the final day of gymnastics at the 2016 Rio Olympics, as Simone Biles will attempt to get back in gold-medal territory after a slight mishap on the balance beam led to a bronze medal on Monday.
The woman gymnasts will compete in the floor exercise, and this is one of Biles' best events. She will be joined by United States team captain Aly Raisman, who also excels in the floor exercise. Both have an excellent chance to get to the podium in this event.
In addition, Christian Taylor will try to defend the gold medal that he won four years ago in the triple jump, and the undefeated U.S. women will try to keep their streak going in volleyball as they square off against China in their quarterfinal match.

Tuesday Preview
Women's Volleyball: United States vs. China

The United States has a chance at the gold medal, and the 4-0 Americans will try to take one more step in a meeting against China in the quarterfinals.
The Americans have done an excellent job of finding the openings, and much of that is due to the presence of setters Alisha Glass, Carli Lloyd and Courtney Thompson.
Most teams don't play with three setters, but it has been working out quite nicely for the United States. According to head coach Karch Kiraly, the trio helps the United States play with more speed, and that puts pressure on opponents.
"They were the position group that embraced that the earliest and led the charge and modeled it for the other positions," Kiraly said, per the Associated Press (h/t NBC Olympics). "We started running our offense faster, which just means the sets don't go high out to the sideline, they go low and fast."
Kiraly gave his setters credit for bringing about significant improvement in the women's volleyball team.
The key players on the team have put aside personal glory for the good of their chances, and it just may lead to a medal for this rapidly improving side.
Prediction: United States advances with victory over China.
Women's Gymnastics: Floor Exercise
Biles is one of the breakout stars of the Olympics. She led the United States to the gold medal in the team competition, and she has already won the all-around gold medal as well as the vault. However, a third-place finish in the balance beam Monday was somewhat disappointing.
National team coordinator Martha Karolyi is known as a tough taskmaster, but she was supportive of her superstar after the bronze-medal performance, per Rachel Axon of USA Today:
"Simone is also a human being just like all of us. We try to say that she is a super human, but actually I think probably a little bit the pressure get to her or just mentally under the situation that you permanently have to focus and permanently have to be extremely sharp. Your brain maybe for a moment, it just gets tired.
"
Biles has an excellent chance of bouncing back and winning gold in the floor exercise, where she is known for the height of her jumps and her explosiveness. However, she is going to have to be at her best to get past Raisman, her teammate.
Raisman is the defending champion in the event, and she has put many excellent routines together. Still, it would be considered an upset if Raisman was to defend her gold medal in Rio.
Prediction: Gold—Simone Biles, United States; Silver—Aly Raisman, United States; Bronze—Wang Yan, China
