Manchester United Transfer News: Adnan Januzaj 'Humiliated' Amid Exit Rumours
Adnan Januzaj reportedly feels "humiliated" by Manchester United's treatment of him this summer and would like to leave the club permanently amid speculation he's set to join Sunderland on loan.
According to Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, "sources close to" the player have said he has been left red-faced after being omitted from United manager Jose Mourinho's first-team plans and seeing his No. 11 shirt given to Anthony Martial.
Following a meeting with Mourinho, in which he was told he would not be a part of the senior squad, Januzaj has been training with the under-21s and is nearing a temporary switch to the Stadium of Light, though he "would have preferred to cut all ties" with the Red Devils.

Wheeler added the 21-year-old has been unwilling to use the reserves' dressing room, arriving at training already dressed "and on one occasion this month even got changed in a toilet."
The youngster burst onto the scene under David Moyes in 2013-14 and made 35 first-team appearances in the Scot's season in charge, but he failed to kick on under Louis van Gaal.

After just 21 outings for the Dutchman in his first season, Januzaj was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund last year but returned in January after failing to make an impact. He didn't make a mark back at Old Trafford either, featuring for just 17 Premier League minutes upon his return.
Football writer Liam Canning believes the Red Devils should ensure they can still make use of him if he reaches his potential elsewhere:
The winger clearly possesses talent—he can dribble past defenders or open up a back line with his passing, and he has the creativity to make the most of those traits.
As noted by Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, Sunderland manager Moyes is hoping Januzaj can recapture the form he displayed under him while at Old Trafford:
If given the manager's backing—something he did not appear to have with Van Gaal or has under Mourinho—he may yet do so.
Time is still firmly on Januzaj's side, but after two largely wasted seasons, it's important he has a strong campaign to reignite his career.
Provided United haven't permanently burned their bridges with him, he may yet go on to have a career at Old Trafford.
