Olympic 2016 Medal Count: Easy-to-View Nation Rankings for Thursday Results
The men's rugby sevens competition will come to its conclusion at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, and there are yet more medals to be won in the swimming pool.
Here is the live medal table for the Games thus far, with Great Britain having picked up six medals on Wednesday, including gold in diving and kayaking:
Great Britain will be in contention for a medal in rugby after scraping past Argentina in the quarter-finals.
A tense match that saw Argentina miss a last-minute penalty ended 0-0 in normal time. Tom Mitchell hit the post with a penalty of his own in sudden death, but Dan Bibby went over to secure the victory.
England international James Haskell was impressed:
Per BBC Sport, Bibby said, "I thought that our Olympic dream was over, but luck was on our side. We have only been together for 10 weeks, and to fight out there on the field, no matter what nation you are from—England, Scotland or Wales—is what a true team is about."

How they fare against South Africa in their semi-final will determine whether they'll be fighting for bronze or gold.
The Blitzboks made short work of Australia in a 22-5 victory, but coach Neil Powell is anticipating a tough match, per South Africa Rugby: "We need a solid defensive line and a solid defensive effort tomorrow. Great Britain is one of the form teams in the competition and we need go back and plan for another war tomorrow."
In the other semi-final, Fiji—the only unbeaten side remaining in the competition along with Great Britain—will take on surprise package Japan.

All four semi-final teams have looked strong thus far, so there should be some explosive rugby on offer.
In the aquatic centre, four more swimming finals will be decided—the men's 200-metre backstroke and individual medley finals and the women's 200-metre breaststroke and 100-metre freestyle finals.
In the individual medley, USA team-mates Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte will be going head-to-head once again, with the former looking to win his 22nd Olympic gold medal. The pair facing off in this event has become a familiar sight over the years, per SportsCenter:
As Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde noted, Phelps and Lochte were well clear of the field in qualifying for the final:
Indeed, the next closest competitor, Brazil's Thiago Pereira, was almost a second behind Lochte.
At the Olympics, this event has always gone to Phelps, but Lochte has won it at the last four world championships—meaning he has won four of their last five meetings in the medley at major events, with London 2012 being the exception.
The pair are set for another thrilling battle on Thursday, one that's not to be missed.
