Recap

Wisconsin Beats Indiana, 11-9

Wisconsin-Little Leaguers of Kenosha-American out-slugged a tough Indiana-Terre Haute North side on Monday, winning 11-9.

Wisconsin's bats were red-hot, as the team scored in every inning, including six runs in the bottom of the first. Matt Felber was the star, ripping a home run, four RBI and scoring a run in the victory. Nathan Olson, Ethon Clark and Jack Rose all homered for Wisconsin, with Clark and Rose each accounting for two RBI.

Jacob Ashmus got the win for Wisconsin, while Rose earned the save.

Peyton Clerk's two home runs and three RBI led the way for Indiana, while Bryson Carpenter, Noble Johnson—who also ripped three RBI—and Pierson Barnes also homered for the losers. Carpenter took the loss.

Indiana will next face Michigan on Tuesday, with the loser going home, while Wisconsin will next play on Wednesday and face the winner of the Kentucky vs. Ohio matchup.

New York Beats Delaware, 1-0

Michael Mancini stifled Delaware-Milton for six innings on Monday, brilliantly throwing six shutout innings. That allowed Ryan Harlost the opportunity to play the hero in the bottom of the sixth, and the youngster answered the call, hitting a walk-off home run to give New York-Maine-Endwell a 1-0 win.

Mancini gave up just two hits and two walks on the afternoon, striking out 10 batters in the impressive showing. New York needed the epic performance, as Delaware's Tyler Husbands was just as good on the opposing mound, throwing five shutout innings of his own with nine strikeouts.

But Timothy Hitchcock was called on to shut down New York in the bottom of the sixth. After getting one out, Harlost stepped up to the plate and ended the game with a homer to left field.

New York will next face Washington D.C. on Wednesday, while Delaware will be battling for their tournament lives against Maryland on Tuesday.

Iowa Beats Minnesota, 9-0

Iowa-Johnston cruised to an easy victory on Monday, slugging past Minnesota-Coon Rapids Andover American, 9-0.

JT Garcia was on fire at the plate, ripping two home runs, four RBI and scoring three runs in the contest, while Kaiden Dinh, Josh Larson and Michael Siemer combined to throw a two-hit, shutout gem.

Minnesota will face Missouri on Tuesday, hoping to keep their tournament alive, while Iowa awaits the winner of Nebraska vs. Kansas for its Wednesday matchup.

Rhode Island Beats Maine, 5-2

Colin Lemieux's strong performance on the mound and at the plate powered Rhode Island-Warwick North to a 5-2 victory over Maine-Scarborough.

Lemieux earned the win, throwing throwing 5.2 innings of two-run ball. He gave up six hits and a walk on the day, striking out nine. He added a an RBI and a run on the day.

Jack Simonton provided the game's top highlight for Maine, hitting a home run in top of the fifth.

Rhode Island will face the winner of Massachusetts vs. New Hampshire on Wednesday, while Maine will try to beat Connecticut to remain in the tournament on Tuesday.

Hawaii Beats Utah, 5-2

Matthew Dinae's strong effort from the mound led Hawaii-Central East Maui to a 5-2 victory over Utah-Snow Canyon on Monday.

Dinae pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on just three hits and two walks while striking out nine. Wehiwa Aloy paced the offense, meanwhile, ripping a home run, two RBI and scoring two runs.

Hawaii will be off until Thursday, when winner's bracket play will resume, while Utah will face Northern California on Wednesday hoping to avoid elimination.

Idaho Beats Montana, 13-9

Hatcher Hild led Idaho-North Boise to a wild 13-9 victory over Montana-Mount Sentinel on Monday.

Hild, who finished with a three-run home run, a sacrifice fly and two walks, also pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless ball for Idaho, earning the win. He struck out five batters and gave up just two hits and a walk from the mound.

Peyton Stevens (two RBI, one run) and Nick Beem (three hits, two run, one RBI) led the way for Montana offensively. Cooper Elliott, who pitched 2.2 innings and gave up seven runs (just one allowed) on six hits and two walks, took the loss.

Idaho pulled away in the middle frames, scoring 11 runs between the third and fourth innings.

Idaho won't play again until Thursday in the winners' bracket, while Montana will play Wyoming on Tuesday with their tournament lives on the line.

Georgia Beats Florida, 5-1

Thaddeus Ector was nearly unhittable, and Isaiah Lopez was excellent atop the lineup with two extra-base hits, as the pair led Georgia (Peachtree City American) to a 5-1 victory over Florida (North Palm Beach County) on Monday.

Lopez led off the game with a solo home run, and Ector took over from there, throwing six innings of one-hit, one-run ball, striking out seven batters and walking just one.

Lopez led Georgia with two runs—he also tripled—while Javon Compton, the team's No. 2 hitter, led the way with two RBI.

Joey Urban scored the lone run for Florida and also had the team's only hit on the day. Jordan Eggenberger gave up five runs on five hits and two walks in five innings, meanwhile, taking the loss.

Florida has been eliminated from the tournament, while Georgia will face the loser of West Virginia vs. Tennessee on Tuesday.

Washington, D.C., Beats Pennsylvania, 7-2

A four-run fifth inning sealed a 7-2 victory for Washington, D.C. (Capitol City), over Pennsylvania (Keystone) on Monday.

Leading 3-2, the team from the nation's capital put the game out of reach in an explosive bottom of the fifth, as Sean Quinn scored on a wild pitch and Henry Smith ripped a three-run double.

Clark Donovan and Earl Skrine each scored two runs for Washington, D.C., while D.M. Jefferson had two hits and two RBI. Ethan Mishra earned the win, pitching 4.1 innings, and he gave up two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six.

Four Pennsylvania pitchers gave up seven runs in the contest on five hits along with seven walks, striking out five. Cayde McCloskey took the loss.

Cy Probst was excellent for Pennsylvania, accumulating two hits, two RBI and a run. He hit the game's only home run.

Pennsylvania will play New Jersey on Tuesday, with the loser being eliminated from the tournament, while Washington, D.C., will face the winner of Delaware vs. New York on Wednesday.

Kentucky Beats Ohio, 11-1

Offense wasn't a problem for Kentucky (Bowling Green Eastern) as it dropped 11 runs on Ohio (West Side) in a comprehensive victory.

Kentucky opened the scoring early with a solo home run by Devin Obee and a run-scoring fielder's choice from Carson Myers in the first inning. The team didn't let up over the next two innings, either.

It's not as if Kentucky needed much support given how much it got from the combination of Myers, Obee and Isaiah Head on the mound. The three allowed one earned run on four hits and struck out nine Ohio batters.

Nebraska Beats Kansas, 6-0

Brett Mahony tossed a gem on the mound, and Korben Rich came in to shut the door as Nebraska (Kearney) shut out Kansas (Frontenac), 6-0.

Mahony nearly went the distance, pitching 5.1 innings. He surrendered just one hit and zero walks while striking out eight Kansas batters. Mahony also played a starring role at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Kaden Miller also had a good day offensively. He finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Mahony didn't need a lot of support Monday, but his teammates did more than enough to supplement their ace.

Massachusetts Beats New Hampshire, 10-0

A shaky outing on the mound for Dylan Dufour got New Hampshire (Bedford) off to a bad start, and that was all the opening Massachusetts (Wellesley South) needed en route to a comfortably 10-0 win.

Massachusetts knocked Dufour out after two-plus innings. He gave up four runs on four hits.

The bulk of Massachusetts' offensive output came in the bottom of the third inning. The five-run frame broke the game open and gave the team a nearly unassailable 7-0 lead. Massachusetts tacked on three more runs over the next two innings for good measure.

David Blair was responsible for nearly a third of Massachusetts' runs. He went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored. No. 9 hitter Matt Beyer also chipped in with two hits and a run batted in.

Tennessee Beats West Virginia, 5-4

A two-run fifth inning propelled Tennessee (Goodlettsville Baseball) to a 5-4 win Monday over West Virginia (Bridgeport).

West Virginia scored twice in the top half of the inning on the strength of a two-run homer by Christopher Harbert to take a 4-3 lead. Tennessee responded in kind in the bottom half, and Zach McWilliams scored the winning run on a fielder's choice off the bat of Brock Duffer.

Give credit to Robert Carroll, who pitched the final two innings. He could've come unglued following Harbert's home run. Instead, he quickly recovered and got out of the fifth without suffering more damage. Then he shut the door in the sixth to preserve the win.

Louisiana Beats Mississippi, 2-1

It was the rare walk-off hit by pitch as Louisiana (South Lake Charles) picked up a 2-1 win over Mississippi (Starkville).

Grant Comeaux singled to lead off the bottom of the sixth. Then, Donovan LaSalle reached on an error, and Colby Allen walked Jake LaRocca to load the bases. On the second pitch of the at-bat, Allen hit Ashton Fuselier to bring home pinch runner Dylan Thibodeaux to end the game.

It was a tough result for Allen, who had pitched the entire game to that point. He may have stayed out too long, though, and it cost Mississippi a possible victory.

While Allen deserves a share of the blame, his offense didn't provide much help, particularly after Gage Coffman entered the game. In 3.2 innings, Coffman struck out 10 batters and walked none. He also allowed just one hit and zero runs.

New Mexico Beats Texas-West, 9-6

Texas-West (McAllister Park American) mustered a late offensive surge, but it wasn't enough to get past New Mexico (Eastdale).

New Mexico scored five times in the top of the fifth to turn a one-run lead, 4-3, to a six-run lead, 9-3. Texas-West put together three runs in the fifth and sixth innings, but it was too little, too late.

Five different New Mexico batters registered two hits, and the team as a whole collected 14 hits, far outpacing Texas-West, which could only get three hits.

Ethan Krebs provided much of the offense, driving in four runs and going 2-for-4. His two-run home run in the second inning got New Mexico started on the comeback trail. He made it a 3-2 game in favor of Texas-West, but that lead wouldn't last much longer.

Southern California Beats Arizona, 7-4

A four-run fifth inning was the difference as Southern California (Park View) toppled Arizona (Cactus Foothills South) by a score of 7-4.

JonLuke Hobdy and Lucas Marrujo did an excellent job of damage control after Daniel Leon gave up four runs—three of which were earned—in the first three innings. Hobdy and Marrujo went the final three innings, combining to allow five hits and strike out three batters.

Arizona lost despite the best efforts of Luke Newman, who went 4-for-4 out of the leadoff spot with two runs scored.

On the other side, Marrujo was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Leon made up for his tough day on the mound by going 2-for-2 at the plate.

Washington Beats Oregon, 8-2

Oregon (Bend North) was its own worst enemy as it fell 8-2 to Washington (Lynnwood Pacific).

Six different pitchers toed the rubber for Oregon. While that sextet only combined to surrender three hits, they also walked 10 batters. Blaine Causey was responsible for half of those 10 walks; he put Oregon at a distinct disadvantage early on after giving up seven runs in 1.1 innings pitched.

On the other side, pitching wasn't an issue at all for Washington, with Kam Jordan going the first five innings. He struck out 11 batters and allowed three hits and one earned run.

Jacob Gabler and Maddox Stojkovic accounted for the majority of the Washington offense. Gabler went 1-for-3 with three RBI, while Stojkovic was 1-for-1 and drove in two runs of his own.
