Giancarlo Stanton Hits 504-Foot Home Run
Zac WassinkAug 6, 2016
Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton elected to swing at the first pitch he saw from Colorado Rockies starter Chad Bettis in the top of the fifth inning of Saturday's game.
In doing so, Stanton reminded us all that patience isn't always a virtue as he sent the ball over the left-center field wall at Coors Field.
Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald tweeted that Statcast claimed Stanton's home run traveled 504 feet. That, per MLB's official website, would be the longest home run hit this season.

This is nothing new for Stanton, as he crushed a home run 475 feet during a game in May.
