Mohamed Salah to Roma: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Mohamed Salah has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Roma, it was confirmed on Wednesday.
The Blues released a statement on their official website that noted the deal had been done for the Egypt international.
Salah spent the 2015-16 season on loan with the Italian side and shone, having failed to show his best form at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea Football Club thanks Mohamed for his service and wishes him well for the future,” said part of the bulletin from the west London club.
According to Squawka Football, the transfer fee paid for the winger is £12.75 million; it also broke down the numbers behind his impressive campaign with Roma last term:

Here is a reminder of some of Salah’s best moments with the Giallorossi last term and why Roma fans will be delighted to have him on board:
Although the 24-year-old only featured sparingly for the Blues during his time with the club, he did cause the club some hassle.
Indeed, Fiorentina made an official complaint to FIFA in the summer of 2015 after the winger moved to Roma on loan despite having a previous agreement with Fiorentina, although the Premier League side were cleared of any infringement in June.

While Salah has been away from Stamford Bridge, he has shown some sparkling form in Serie A. The winger dazzled for Fiorentina, and he continued to thrive in his second season in the division, this time in the colours of the capital club.
Whether playing on the left, right or even through the middle, Salah poses opponents plenty of problems with his blistering pace, ability to change direction and growing penchant for making key contributions in the final third.
As these numbers from WhoScored.com show, there weren’t many players who were more of a goal threat than Salah in Serie A last season:
What’s encouraging for Roma fans is that Salah can still make improvements in his game. His use of the ball could be better at times, while he can occasionally dart down blind alleys. At 24, there’s still a long way to go in his development, though, and having played for four clubs since 2014, some stability is vital.
It’ll be a big boost for Roma fans, having lost their key creator Miralem Pjanic to rivals Juventus. Having such an exhilarating and improving star within their ranks will help offset that disappointment, as the Giallorossi seek to challenge on the domestic and European front.
