Liverpool Transfer News: Anderson Talisca Agreement Reported, Latest Rumours
Liverpool are reportedly closing in on the signing of Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca, but they still face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers and concerns remain over a work permit.
According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo (via the Daily Star's Jamie Styles), Benfica have "agreed" to sell Talisca to either Liverpool or Wolves for approximately £20 million, with Anfield being the Brazilian's preferred destination.
However, Styles added there may be issues with a work permit being granted, given Talisca's lack of international experience, and O Jogo claimed a switch to Wolves and the Championship "is less likely to be blocked than one to the Premier League."

The 22-year-old attacker has represented Brazil at youth level but has yet to earn a senior cap despite a call-up to the squad in late 2014.
Per Transfermarkt, he made 34 appearances for Benfica in the 2015-16 campaign, netting nine goals and providing one assist.
Talisca is still raw but is an excellent passer of the ball, boasts a lethal left foot and is able to play as a forward as well as in midfield—see below for some of his 2015-16 highlights:
Portuguese football expert Jan Hagen, though, does not believe he is good enough to join Liverpool in the Premier League:
According to the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce, there is nothing in the rumours linking Talisca with a move to the Reds, and it is unclear where he would fit into manager Jurgen Klopp's side.
The German already has a number of top-quality attackers to call upon, including Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and new addition Sadio Mane.
Indeed, Klopp is in the midst of a cull of his squad ahead of his first full season in charge on Merseyside, and Liverpool look set to recoup £100 million in transfer fees this summer once all their intended sales have gone through.

Per MailOnline's Dominic King, the recent departure of Joe Allen to Stoke City for £13 million is set to "trigger a raft of departures from Anfield," with Brad Smith the next man set to be out the door to Bournemouth for £6 million.
As noted by King, that would take Liverpool's transfer earnings to £50 million for the summer—following the departures of Jordon Ibe, Joao Teixeira, Sergi Canos, Martin Skrtel and Jerome Sinclair—a figure set to double once Christian Benteke is shipped off to Crystal Palace for £30 million and Lazar Markovic, Luis Alberto, Andre Wisdom and Mario Balotelli are all sold.
The only remaining addition Klopp reportedly wants to make is to bring in a left-back to challenge Alberto Moreno, but the addition of another attacking player in Talisca seems unlikely.
