Jose Mourinho Reportedly Victim of Attempted Burglary During Euro 2016 Final
Jose Mourinho's £25 million London house was reportedly broken into while the Manchester United manager was inside watching the final of UEFA Euro 2016, and the burglar has been sentenced to four weeks in prison.
According to an exclusive from the Sun's Neil Syson, 25-year-old Gabor Roman was caught by a maid as he attempted to break into Mourinho's home via the basement.
When the maid shouted at him, the man tried to escape but was quickly apprehended by security and handed over to the police as Mourinho and his wife, Matilde Faria, looked on.

A witness said: "Jose looked dumbfounded. I don’t think it had registered with the guy he was trying to burgle the house of the world’s most famous football coach."
Roman was spotted by a security guard testing the doors of nearby houses to see if any were unlocked, prompting the guard to follow him.
Per Syson, a source shed further light on the incident:
"The first open door the guy found was Jose’s basement gate. That’s not unusual because his staff are in and out all the time and the basement front door is often ajar.
It was perfect timing when the Portuguese maid screamed, ‘What are you doing here?’ because at that moment the security man blocked the getaway.
The burglar was threatening to punch him but he stood his ground.
"
He soon gave up and was taken away by eight police officers in handcuffs. The source added: "The look on Jose’s face when he peered out was priceless."
Roman was handed his sentence for attempted burglary by Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 12, just two days after the break-in.
After the incident, Mourinho took to Instagram to celebrate Portugal's victory over France in the European Championship final:
The United boss took charge of his first Red Devils match on Saturday, guiding them to a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic in a pre-season friendly.
