Sunday Recap

Noren played the front nine on Sunday in level par, as he birdied the par-five second before giving back the shot on eight.

New Zealander Lee joined him at the top of the leaderboard at 12 under when he birdied the par-four 10th, but Noren then edged ahead again, as he went to 13 under following a birdie four on 12.

The key moment for Noren came at the 15th, as he doubled his one-shot advantage with a birdie to go to 14 under. It was all about the approach from the Swede that left him a simple birdie putt, per the European Tour:

It was not plain-sailing for Noren on the way in, and he had to hole a tricky downhill putt for par on 17 to keep his two-shot lead intact. But a brilliant drive on 18 set up a simple enough par, which was enough to see him home.

Belgium's Colsaerts had a stunning back nine that saw him finish much higher than expected and claim a spot in next week's Open Championship.

He rolled in a truly brilliant putt for eagle on 12 before carding three birdies in a row, setting the clubhouse target after picking up another shot on the last, per the European Tour:

Lee's final round was free of any bogeys, but he could not quite pick up enough shots to finish on top of the leaderboard, while Manassero and Hatton finished with similarly immaculate cards.

Scotsman Richie Ramsay finished as the highest-placed local after he made a run for the win on Sunday and finished at 11 under.

Four birdies on the bounce from the third—including a brilliant 45-foot putt for a two on the fourth, per the European Tour—put him in contention, but he fell just short despite also picking up shots on 10 and 16:

Five-time major winner Phil Mickelson's final-round card was bogey-free, as he posted 66, with four birdies and an eagle two on nine, to finish at seven under par in a tie for 13th.
