
US Open Golf 2016: Updates on Round 1 After Suspension Due to Dangerous Weather
First-round play for the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club has been suspended for the day due to the weather, per Jason Sobel of ESPN.com.
The first suspension came at 10 a.m. ET due to a "dangerous weather situation" in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, PGA Tour Media announced on Twitter.
After play resumed at 11:23 a.m. ET following a 79-minute delay, PGA Tour Media announced another suspension at 12:07 p.m. ET.
The action picked back up at 2:33 p.m. ET, but Sobel reported that there was a third weather delay at 3:52 p.m. ET.
According to PGATour.com, using data from Weather Underground, there is a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day.
