Chelsea, Eva Carneiro Agree on Confidential Settlement
Chelsea and former team doctor Eva Carneiro agreed to a confidential settlement Tuesday in relation to her allegations of unfair dismissal, as well as sex discrimination and harassment against former manager Jose Mourinho.
Rags Martel of ITV News was the first to report that Chelsea and Carneiro came to terms. Chelsea later released a statement on the matter, per Ben Rumsby of the Daily Telegraph:

Carneiro was banned from the club last year after running onto the field to treat Eden Hazard during a match against Swansea City.
She also released a statement Tuesday, per Rob Harris of the Associated Press:
Carneiro alleged that Mourinho—who is now the manager at Manchester United—shouted a sexist slur at her when she treated Hazard, per Robert Booth of the Guardian. It was also reported that Carneiro initially turned down a £1.2 million settlement offer in favor of a hearing.
According to Matt McGeehan and Nina Massey of the Daily Mirror, Mourinho admitted Monday to shouting "son of a bitch" toward Carneiro, but he denied the comment was sexist in nature.
Mourinho was fired by Chelsea in December after a poor start to the 2015-16 campaign that resulted in the Blues finishing a disappointing 10th in the EPL standings.
