Florida State vs. UCLA

Saturday's first game featured a must-win for the Seminoles and Bruins

UCLA's Twitter account provided the lineup for each team:

The Bruins got off to a perfect start thanks to a first-inning grand slam from Mysha Sataraka. The NCAA's softball Twitter account documented her celebration with her teammates and added a tidbit on the blast:

The outburst knocked out Florida State starter Meghan King, who allowed four runs on five hits through only 0.2 innings pitched.

It appeared that UCLA peaked in the opening frame.

Florida State's Alex Powers homered in the second inning, and the team was able to score another run. In the third, the Seminoles advanced three runners home, with some smart baserunning putting the team ahead, per NCAA Softball:

The Seminoles never looked back. Jessica Burroughs was excellent in relief, completing the game while allowing two hits and no walks in the 8-4 victory.

UCLA starter Johanna Grauer allowed the five go-ahead runs, but she still threw six innings while giving up eight hits and four walks.

Florida State will play the loser between Auburn and Georgia in another elimination game.

Alabama vs. LSU

The Tigers were able to extend their season Saturday at the expense of an SEC rival.

Carley Hoover was solid on the mound to lead LSU to a comfortable win. She allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings, while racking up two strikeouts.

Entering the game, LSU ranked fifth nationally in team ERA with a 1.84 mark, so the school relied on its strength to come through with the victory.

She needed to be sharp all afternoon, as the game was tight until the fourth inning.

LSU struck first, as Sandra Simmons led the game with this home run to right field, courtesy of ESPNU:

She is in the midst of a strong postseason, as the SEC Network noted:

The Bayou Bengals added another run in the third, but Alabama kept it close by responding with a score in bottom of the inning thanks to an RBI single from Leona Lafaele.

LSU broke the game open in the fourth. Simmons again was a catalyst, per the team's Twitter account:

The Tigers scored four runs in the inning, as Emily Griggs scored on a wild pitch and Sahvanna Jaquish knocked in two runs with a double.

That was all for Alabama starter Sydney Littlejohn; she was pulled after 3.1 innings. She ended with four runs conceded on five hits.

Alabama put together a late push with a Lafaele homer and another two runs courtesy of some sloppy defensive play in the sixth, but it was not enough pull even with the Tigers.

LSU will play the loser of the Michigan vs. Oklahoma game.

Auburn vs. Georgia

In another SEC battle, Auburn put itself one win away from the World Series final with a win Saturday.

The Tigers put together a three-run rally in the seventh to come back and stun the Bulldogs.

Georgia had been playing as well as any team in college softball. The Bulldogs knocked off defending-champion and No. 1-ranked Florida in the Super Regional Round, and the team was unblemished in this tournament.

Auburn opened up the scoring with a sacrifice fly from Emily Carosone in the first, but the Tigers went cold down the stretch as they finished with no hits from the fourth through sixth innings.

Georgia responded in the second inning, as Katie Browne singled to bring in Alex Hugo and tie the game at 1-1.

The Bulldogs added a run each in the third and fourth innings to take the lead. The decisive play came on a wild pitch in the third that scored the go-ahead tally. Georgia's Twitter account provided more details:

However, the Tigers came alive and were able to take advantage of an error as they added four hits to complete the wild comeback.

Pitcher Chelsea Wilkerson was strong for Georgia. She went six innings while only allowing seven hits and one run. The other three runs were the results of an error and two fielder's-choices.

Auburn starter Makayla Martin turned in a short outing, going two innings and allowing one earned run. Rachael Walters finished the game and was great for the Tigers, allowing four hits and a run.

Auburn advances to the Bracket 1 final, while Georgia will play Florida State Sunday in an elimination showdown.

Michigan vs. Oklahoma

After leading her team to a shutout win over LSU Friday, Michigan's Megan Betsa was roughed up a bit against Oklahoma.

The Sooners tattooed her for three runs in the first inning thanks to two RBIs from Shay Knighten, who later scored on a throwing error. The team nearly batted around the order, per its Twitter account:

Sydney Romero added to Oklahoma's lead in the third inning with a solo home run.

Betsa finished with seven strikeouts while allowing four runs, six hits and six runs in 6.1 innings.

Paige Parker was solid once again for the Sooners, as she pitched to the tune of five runs allowed on 12 hits in another complete game effort.

It was not all smooth sailing for the Oklahoma ace. Michigan was able to split the lead in the fourth after Aidan Falk homered to right field. The Wolverines' Twitter account provided more details:

Michigan would add another run in the inning to cut the deficit to one.

Nicole Pendley then came up huge for the Sooners, as she homered in the sixth to put her team back up by two runs. The play seemed to stabilize Oklahoma, who was on its heels after the Michigan outburst in the fourth.

Betsa walked in a runner in the seventh to put Oklahoma up 6-3. Sara Driesenga took over for Betsa to record the final two outs of the inning, but another runner whom Betsa left on scored.

Michigan put on a late push. Falk drove in a run with outs and the Wolverines added another RBI single, but Abby Ramirez grounded out with the bases loaded to end the game.

Oklahoma advances to the Bracket 2 championship, while Michigan will take on LSU in a must-win rematch.
