Cal State Fullerton 1, Louisiana Tech 0
In a game that was originally scheduled for Friday, a Ruben Cardenas single in the bottom of the eighth inning was the only run needed for Cal State Fullerton to win its opening game of the College World Series.
More importantly, the pitching solidified the win, as four pitchers combined to allow just two Louisiana Tech hits.
Not to be lost in the defeat, Louisiana Tech pitching allowed just five hits on the afternoon, but with five baserunners for the entire game, it just wasn't enough.
William & Mary 4, Bryant 3
Bryant is the first team of the College World Series to be eliminated after a late comeback attempt fell short.
Down 4-1 after six innings, Bryant scored one in the seventh and one in the eighth but couldn't scratch out another in the ninth.
Four different members of William & Mary's Tribe collected RBI on the day, including Ryan Hall, who provided a solo home run.
Arizona State 4, Oral Roberts 1
Arizona State stayed alive for at least one more game thanks to the heroics of Brian Serven at the plate and Jordan Aboites on the mound.
Aboites hurled a complete game, allowing just one run while striking out seven batters. Serven provided all the runs Aboites would need by going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
While Oral Roberts was able to collect 11 hits off Aboites, the team's tournament comes to an end, as it couldn't take advantage of its numerous opportunities.
South Alabama 6, Alabama State 3
South Alabama reigned supreme in this all-Alabama matchup thanks to a three-run eighth inning and another complete game effort on the hill. This time, it was Randy Bell who went all nine innings, though he gave up three runs while striking out eight.
Cole Billingsley and Danny Martinez each recorded a pair of RBI on the afternoon, but Billingsley was the hero when he broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run double.
Georgia Tech 12, Bethune-Cookman 3
With a 6-3 lead, Georgia Tech blew the game open in the top of the ninth inning to turn a close game into a blowout on Saturday.
Tristin English went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI. His long ball came in that big ninth inning, which was a three-run shot.
The loss eliminated Bethune-Cookman, while the Yellow Jackets get to play at least one more game.
South Carolina 4, Duke 2
Duke was playing in its first College World Series in 55 years, but it ended rather quickly after their second loss of the tournament to South Carolina.
The Blue Devils rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game, but South Carolina scored a pair of runs in the top of the ninth.
The South Carolina pitching trio of Braden Webb, Josh Reagan and Tyler Johnson combined to allow just five hits on the afternoon and strike out 11.
Wright State 10, Western Michigan 3
It was all fun and games for Wright State, as ESPNU showed:
The Raiders scored eight unanswered runs in five consecutive innings ranging from the third to seventh frames to break a 2-2 tie and put the game away.
JD Orr, John Brodner and Mitch Roman each drove in a pair of runs on Saturday.
Florida Atlantic 8, Stetson 4
Trailing 4-2 after six innings, Florida Atlantic scored six runs in the final three innings to eliminate Stetson.
While he might not be related to the Golden State Warriors coach, Florida Atlantic's Stephen Kerr was one of three players to drive in two runs on the afternoon as he went 2-for-4.
Xavier 15, Vanderbilt 1
That's not a typo—the national champions from two years ago and last year's runners-up were trounced by Xavier, which scored all of its runs on just nine hits.
Vanderbilt committed four errors on the day, which opened up a 13-run Xavier seventh inning to put the game out of reach.
Rylan Bannon led the Muskateers with a grand slam and five RBI on the day, while the Vanderbilt offense could only collect five hits.
Western Carolina 4, Nebraska 1
Taylor Durand, Brendan Nail and B.J. Nobles combined for a one-run, five-hit outing to lift Western Carolina over Nebraska.
Up 2-1 late in the game, Western Carolina put the game away with two runs in the top of the eighth after RBI singles from Kramer Ferrell and Caleb Robinson.
Tulane 6, Ole Miss 5
Down 5-4 in the top of the ninth, Jake Rogers launched a two-run home run to give Tulane its first win at the College World Series.
Rogers drove in three runs on the day while Hunter Williams added another two to get by the power of Ole Miss, who hit two home runs off of Tulane pitching.
Louisiana Tech 9, Southeast Missouri State 4
A six-run fourth inning put Louisiana Tech over the top of Southeast Missouri State, which was sparked by the home run and epic bat flip of Brent Diaz, via ESPNU:
Cody Daigle was the one who paced Louisiana Tech's offense though, driving in five runs including a grand slam later in the fourth inning.
Dallas Baptist 8, Fairfield 5
Dallas Baptist jumped out to an early 7-0 lead which proved to be too much for Fairfield, who scored three runs in the final two innings to make the game look closer than it appeared.
Seven different Patriots drove in runs on Saturday while Austin Listi was just a home run away from the cycle.
Navy 8, St. Mary's 5 (13 innings)
Navy scratched out three runs in the top of the 13th to break a 5-5 tie that that was created when St. Mary's scored a run in the seventh and eighth innings to force extras.

East Carolina 8, Virginia 6
Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth, Travis Watkins lifted a walk-off three-run home run to give East Carolina a stronghold on the Charlottesville region, via ESPNU:
It capped off a five-run inning that began with the Pirates trailing Virginia, the defending national champions, 6-3.
Louisville 15, Ohio State 3
First baseman Danny Rosenbaum drove in four runs and hit two home runs as Louisville defeated Ohio State convincingly on Saturday night.
Brendan McKay struck out 10 over 5.2 innings of work.
Minnesota 8, Binghamton 5
After trading five runs apiece in the fifth inning, Minnesota scored two runs in the top of the sixth to propel the Golden Gophers to a three-run win.
Jordan Smith hit his third home run of the year in the eighth inning to give Minnesota enough wiggle room to get the win.

Tyler Holton struck out six in 5.2 innings of work.

Four different Seahawks homered, including Zack Canada's fifth-inning homer that broke the game open for UNCW.
Boston College 4, Utah 3
Boston College scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh and its bullpen shut the door for a one-run victory over the Utes.
Johnny Adams went 2-for-4 in the ballgame, as those two hits were the most by an Eagles player on Saturday. Pitcher Mike King went 6.2 innings before being pulled.
Texas Tech 4, New Mexico 3
The Red Raiders scored three runs combined in the eighth and ninth innings to defeat the Lobos in thrilling fashion.
Right fielder Stephen Smith hit his 11th home run and drove in his 40th run of the year in the top of the ninth inning to give Texas Tech the lead, via ESPNU:
