Liverpool Voted Best Premier League Transfer Destination by Bundesliga Players
Liverpool has been voted the the most attractive transfer destination in the Premier League in a survey of Bundesliga players.
According to Kristian Walsh of the Liverpool Echo, the poll of 235 players from Germany's top division was conducted by German magazine Kicker, and while the Reds were behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich among the clubs players most wanted to turn out for, they topped the pile of English sides.
Liverpool earned almost 9.8 per cent of the votes, ahead of Arsenal with 6.0 per cent and Manchester United with 5.1 per cent.

The Reds' new-found popularity in Germany is undoubtedly due to the arrival of Jurgen Klopp as manager. Walsh suggests as much:
Indeed, after guiding Borussia Dortmund to two league titles, one German Cup and the UEFA Champions League final, it's no surprise he's a manager many players want to work for, or that Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of Bundesliga-based players since his appointment.
Per Walsh, the Reds have already secured Schalke's Joel Matip on a free transfer, and Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius is "expected to join this week" to provide competition for Simon Mignolet. Further, Walsh lists Bayern playmaker Mario Gotze and Borussia Monchengladbach star Mahmoud Dahoud as some of Liverpool's "top targets" for the summer.
Football journalist Rafael Hernandez believes the four would put Liverpool well on their way to an outstanding window of business:
Bleacher Report UK's Jack Lusby isn't confident they will land Dahoud, however:
Regardless, it appears Klopp—a popular coach widely regarded as one of Europe's best—has far more pulling power than former manager Brendan Rodgers held at the club, particularly with players who witnessed his successes first-hand.
In recent years, summer transfer windows have been difficult times for Liverpool amid the sale of Luis Suarez and the captures of expensive failures, such as Mario Balotelli and Christian Benteke.
With Klopp in charge, there is a renewed sense of optimism at Anfield—not only in terms of what the team can achieve on the field, but also the business they can conduct off it—starting with what could well be a successful summer of recruiting top talent from Germany.
