With the club moving into a new stadium next season, this was their final game at the Eskisehir Ataturk Stadium. RT.com noted reports from local media that fans vandalized the stadium with it set to be destroyed following the season.
Eskisehirspor's situation was compounded by the team's loss confirming their relegation from the Super Lig due to an inferior head-to-head record against Gaziantepspor, who they trail by three points with a game remaining.
This follows a spate of recent incidents and riots amongst soccer supporters.
In March, two people died and 54 were injured as fighting broke out between Raja Casablanca and Chabab Rif al Hoceima in the stands of Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.
On Tuesday, West Ham fans pelted Manchester United's team bus with bottles as it made its way to the Boleyn Ground, east London.
