Michigan's Zack Marshall Apologizes for Leaked Text Messages Criticizing Team's Offense
Michigan tight end Zack Marshall apologized after letting his frustrations boil over following Saturday's loss to Minnesota.
Leaked text messages showed a player criticizing the Wolverines and declaring that tight ends aren't valued in their offense.
Marshall took to social media to own up to the situation, writing, "I let my frustrations speak for me in an emotional moment. I apologize to my teammates and coaches for the unnecessary drama that this has caused."
After recording 16 catches for 199 yards and a touchdown last season, Marshall has failed to record a catch five games into his senior campaign. Wolverines tight ends have combined for just nine catches for 65 yards in a passing offense that ranks last in the Big Ten with an average of 180.8 yards per game.
Marshall will try to focus on letting his play speak for him during the bye week before Michigan (3-2) returns to face Penn State (3-2) in a conference matchup on Oct. 17.
