Barcelona Plans for La Liga Title Parade, Celebrations Reported Ahead of Granada

Christopher SimpsonMay 10, 2016

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique will reportedly bring all of the Blaugrana's players, coaches and medical staff to Granada on Saturday—a total of 55 people—to celebrate the club's potential La Liga title win and a "small victory parade" is already being planned.

According to Sport, Enrique did as much last year in order for "everyone to be unified so nobody has to watch the success at home on television, while their team-mates celebrate on the pitch."

Meanwhile, Sport also report the team would take the trophy on a small parade from the Plaza Espanya "into town" at 11 p.m. local time after arriving at El Prat airport, though "nothing is official, because they don't want to be seen to be anticipating glory which may not arrive."

As they are one point ahead of Real Madrid, the club only need to equal Los Blancos' result away at Deportivo La Coruna to guarantee the title.

The league would have been wrapped up much sooner if not for a serious dip in form that saw the Blaugrana lose three consecutive matches at the start of April—including El Clasico at the Camp Nou. As noted by La Liga, Barca responded to the setback in style to keep their destiny in their own hands:

For 16th-place Granada to stand a chance, they'll need to limit their opponents' attacking might, which has been on top form this season, as Squawka Football revealed:

Nevertheless, Enrique does not expect his side to be complacent when they take to the field at Los Carmenes, per BBC Sport:

"

I hope we can be precise in the final game to win the title. We're going to play for a league of 38 games in one match.

There will be tension, Real Madrid and ourselves are in the same situation of playing away from home and having to win. The prize is there and it is attractive enough that we will all be very motivated.

"

Given that in all likelihood his team will indeed win the league, having all those who've contributed to their success present is not only a thoughtful gesture but will continue to help promote the unity and team spirit instilled among the players and those behind the scenes.

Equally, having at least some organisation in place for a trophy parade will allow the club to better celebrate their success with the fans.
