It's not only skates or cleats that are going to be laced up on the first day of May. On Sunday, thousands of runners will take part in the 28th running of the Pittsburgh Marathon.
From the most elite runners in the world to others that see the sport as a challenging hobby, participants will be looped throughout and around the city of Pittsburgh. For the full course map, click here.

Birmingham Bridge is just one of five different bridges runners will cross along the route over Pittsburgh's famous three rivers.
The course will take runners through 13 different neighborhoods, and for those who finish under a certain time, qualification to next year's Boston Marathon will be confirmed.
