Dele Alli Charged with Violent Conduct by FA: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has received a charge of violent conduct from the Football Association for an incident during Monday's 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion in which he appeared to throw a punch at Claudio Yacob.
The FA confirmed the news via their official website:
"Dele Alli has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was involved in an incident with West Bromwich Albion's Claudio Yacob in the 26th minute of the game last night (Monday 25 April 2016).
He has until 6pm on Wednesday 27 April to reply.

According to John Cross of the Mirror, the newly crowned PFA Young Player of the Year faces a three-match ban, which would effectively end his season. Spurs still have a chance to win the Premier League title, although Monday's draw means Leicester City are the clear favourite to finish the season on top.
The incident occurred during the first half and was not spotted by the officials. Per Cross, Yacob said after the match the incident was "nothing," and his manager Tony Pulis added he didn't complain: “Claudio mentioned the tackle from [Mousa] Dembele. Not the punch. If he got punched, who punched him? I haven’t seen it. I don’t think Yacob complained. He's a tough lad.”
The Telegraph shared these images, which captured the moment:
Alli has enjoyed a breakout season, but his short temper has gotten the best of him before. During a UEFA Europa League match against Fiorentina, he was lucky not to get sent off after kicking one of the Viola players in the stomach, per Cross.
Sky Sports News HQ wondered whether he can be too aggressive on the pitch:
With three matches of the 2015-16 Premier League season left to play, Tottenham trail Leicester by seven points and lead Manchester City and Arsenal by five. A second-placed finish seems likely, although the club's chances of holding off their rivals are better with Alli than without him.
For England national team manager Roy Hodgson, the ban would be a huge blessing, all but assuring him his star midfielder will be well rested ahead of the upcoming UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
