Chelsea Transfer News: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba, Top Rumours
Chelsea will reportedly renew their interest in Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer amid speculation linking Eden Hazard with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to U. Vielberg, J. Weiler, J. Nagler and P. Kessler of German outlet Bild (h/t the Daily Star's Alex Harris) the Blues failed to land Mkhitaryan with a £46 million offer last summer but will resume their pursuit of him in the upcoming transfer window.
Further, the Armenian will be entering the last year of his contract with BVB, and when asked if he will sign a new deal at the club, he said: "I do not know yet." On reported interest from Chelsea, he also said: "I do not know."

Mkhitaryan's form has almost defied belief this season with a staggering 23 goals and 30 assists to his name in all competitions. Here are some of his many highlights:
Per DW Sports' Stefan Bienkowski, the midfielder is an impressive dribbler and also possesses a notable bite to his game:
Capable of operating centrally or on either flank, the 27-year-old would be an incredible asset to any side if he can replicate the form that has seen him produce by far the best campaign of his career.
Meanwhile, there are conflicting reports on Hazard's future. According to Marc Alvarez of French outlet Canal Supporters (h/t Harris), the playmaker's camp have been "intensively" holding talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential move.

However, interim Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink believes he is content to stay at Stamford Bridge, per the Guardian's James Riach: "I don’t know exactly but he has some more years to go [on his contract]. What I know he is very happy with everything in Chelsea and around Chelsea. He is very important and if he is fit as he is today showing, not fully fit, he will be very important again next season."
Hiddink's view is backed up by Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur:
The playmaker has endured a torrid season at Stamford Bridge, and his brace against Bournemouth on Saturday was his first time finding the net in the Premier League all season.
Per Terreur, Hazard has had a successful spell with the Blues over the course of his time with them, though:
He has shown himself to be an excellent player when on form, and if he can recapture it, he can resume his status as a key man at the club. Indeed, the Blues could certainly do with keeping hold of the Belgian as they may struggle to land Juventus star Paul Pogba.
Bianconeri sporting director Giuseppe Marotta told Mediaset Premium (h/t Joe Short of the Daily Express): "Pogba and [Paulo] Dybala are the core of the team, so we will not sell them. We only sell players who want to leave. The first objective this summer is to consolidate this group by keeping the best players, only then will we look at the market."
Pogba helped his side beat Fiorentina on Sunday, and Squawka Football hailed his development into an incisive contributor for the Old Lady:
The Frenchman has also netted 10 goals in all competitions this year. His most recent effort came against Palermo earlier in April, and he demonstrated how dangerous he can be when afforded space in the penalty area, per BT Sport Football:
Juve understandably want to keep the 23-year-old, and according to BT Sport's James Horncastle their manager Massimiliano Allegri has also made that clear:
As such, Chelsea may find it incredibly difficult to add him to their midfield—an area in need of addressing. Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic have struggled to meet their own high standards for much of the season, and beyond them John Obi Mikel is an uninspiring alternative.
The Blues are also reportedly interested in AS Roma's Miralem Pjanic as they seek to improve their options in the centre, but according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Joe Short of the Daily Express) the 26-year-old "is planning for a long stay in Rome and was seen house hunting last week."
A supremely creative player and arguably even more threatening from set pieces than Chelsea's own specialist Willian, Pjanic would be an excellent purchase for any Premier League side.
He has 11 goals and as many assists in all competitions this season and would cost £30 million if his buyout clause is met, but it seems reaching personal terms with him could be particularly tricky if he sees his long-term future with the Giallorossi.
