Chelsea Transfer News: Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos Eyed in PSG Swoop Rumours
Chelsea could get their mitts on not just one, but two Paris Saint-Germain stars this summer, with their interest in Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos reportedly ramping up before the transfer market reopens in July.

The Telegraph's Jason Burt reported the Blues will have to battle with Manchester United in the race to recruit Marquinhos, adding Cavani is "likely to be sold" by the club (h/t Metro's George Bellshaw).

Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 34, is one of the veteran figures ready to leave the Parc des Princes when his contract expires in the summer, but Cavani could also leave after becoming frustrated with his chances.
The Uruguay international has continuously been fielded out on the wings under PSG boss Laurent Blanc, but that hasn't prevented him from becoming one of Ligue 1's top scorers this season, per WhoScored.com:
Cavani has since improved his record to 15 league goals this season after netting in Saturday's 6-0 triumph over Caen, showing that while PSG may not appreciate his talents, Chelsea might.
However, the Blues are leaning on Diego Costa up front, and it's hard to see where Cavani would fit in as long as the Spain international is present. Plus, the Guardian's Michael Cox has noted how the forward shrinks on the biggest stages:
Another PSG player struggling to get the chances he feels he deserves is Marquinhos, who has ridden the bench for much of the season while countrymen Thiago Silva and David Luiz star in Blanc's XI.
Burt noted the player is valued at around €50 million (£40 million), adding Barcelona and United are also monitoring the Brazil international, who has nine caps for the national team.

Chelsea will need reinforcements at centre-back in the summer should John Terry, 35, leave the club as expected, while Kurt Zouma is on the treatment table after suffering a serious knee injury.
Goal's French football expert Robin Bairner recently advised PSG to not cash in on Marquinhos, who is undoubtedly drawing heavy interest for a reason:
The 21-year-old has more than three years left to run on his contract, but he may have grown disillusioned with his chances in Paris after starting just 15 Ligue 1 games this season.
Terry's impending departure will leave a major hole in Chelsea's defence, but securing the talents of a prospect such as Marquinhos could beef up the west Londoners' back line for years to come.
