USMNT Watch: Wood Bags Brace, Hyndman Nets Critical Winner
One of the top stories in American soccer this year got even better on Friday, as Bobby Wood continued his fantastic season in front of the net for Union Berlin.
But Wood wasn't the only USMNT-eligible player who netted a critical tally for his club this weekend. U20 midfielder Emerson Hyndman played the role of hero for Fulham and handed the Cottagers a lifeline in the Championship relegation battle.
In addition to the goals scored across the pond, a few big names in the USMNT talent pool provided their teams with strikes during Saturday's action in Major League Soccer.

Bobby Wood Bags Brace, Breaks American Scoring Record in Germany
With his pair of tallies for Union Berlin on Friday, Wood broke the American scoring record across the top two German flights.
Wood's 15th and 16th goals of the season moved him past Conor Casey's previous mark of 14. The Hawaii native is now only three back of VfL Bochum's Simon Terodde in the 2.Bundesliga Golden Boot race.

The 4-0 road win over Paderborn moved Union Berlin onto 40 points in seventh place in the German second division.
Up in the Bundesliga, Timothy Chandler played 90 minutes for Eintracht Frankfurt in their defeat to Hoffenheim in a relegation six-pointer.
Fabian Johnson played 78 minutes in Borussia Monchengladbach's 1-0 loss to Ingolstadt. Alfredo Morales did not feature for the hosts.
Emerson Hyndman Helps Fulham Go 10 Points Safe of Bottom Three
Americans are no strangers to netting crucial strikes for Fulham, and Hyndman followed that trend in the 89th minute of the Cottagers' match with Cardiff City on Saturday.
The USMNT U20 midfielder struck a clean shot from the right side of the box into the back of the net to put the Cottagers 10 points clear of 22nd-place MK Dons with six matches to play.

The game-winner had a little extra meaning for Hyndman since it came on his 20th birthday. Expect the midfielder to eventually find his way into the senior team at the international level on a consistent basis.
Another member of the USMNT youth program did not have a successful day in the Premier League. Chelsea defender Matt Miazga's poor clearance led to a Swansea City goal, and manager Guus Hiddink removed the center back from the pitch at halftime.

Brad Guzan and relegation-bound Aston Villa lost again on Saturday. The Villains, who are set to play in the Championship next season, fell 2-1 at the hands of Bournemouth.
DeAndre Yedlin earned a start in Sunderland's Sunday clash with Leicester City at the Stadium of Light.
Chris Wondolowski, Benny Feilhaber Score in MLS
Chris Wondolowski continued his fine start to the MLS season on Saturday with his fourth goal of the campaign in the San Jose Earthquakes' 2-2 draw with FC Dallas.

The experienced striker is one goal away from tying Ante Razov for fourth on the all-time MLS scoring chart with 114 goals.
USMNT castaway Benny Feilhaber notched Sporting Kansas City's first tally at Red Bull Arena. Graham Zusi provided the central midfielder with an assist on the 17th-minute goal.

Jozy Altidore made his first start of 2016 in Toronto FC's 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution. Michael Bradley and Lee Nguyen played 90 minutes for their respective sides in the match at Gillette Stadium.
Wil Trapp, Ethan Finlay, Steve Birnbaum, Tim Parker, Matt Hedges, Kyle Beckerman and Eric Miller were among the USMNT starters across the league on Saturday night.
Draw Keeps Bob Bradley's Le Havre in Promotion Places
Bob Bradley's Le Havre earned a 0-0 draw on the road against Brest on Friday night to remain in third place in Ligue 2.

Le Havre have the same amount of points as fourth-place Red Star and are only four points ahead of seventh place Clermont Foot.
The Ligue 2 side has five games remaining on its schedule to remain in the top three and secure promotion to Ligue 1.
News and Notes: Omar Gonzalez, Perry Kitchen Continue in Starting Roles
Omar Gonzalez played another 90 minutes for Club Pachuca on Saturday in Liga MX. Jorge Villafana and Paul Arriola were the other American starters during the weekend action in Mexico.
Joe Corona came off the bench for Dorados in their 3-0 win over Cruz Azul. Jonathan Bornstein and Ventura Alvarado did not feature for their respective sides.
Perry Kitchen picked up another starting nod for Hearts on Friday. The former D.C. United midfielder played 90 minutes in a 2-1 win over Aberdeen.
