The 2015 Masters was Jordan Spieth's springboard into the national spotlight. He shot an 18-under on the tournament and beat second-place Phil Mickelson by four strokes.
While the young golfer was working his way up to elite status, taking down the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose cued his arrival early in the season.
Spieth went on to win three more events in 2015, including the U.S. Open, as he gained the No. 1 ranking in the world.
This season has been a bit different for Spieth, as he has just one win in his first nine events. He even lost his No. 1 ranking to Jason Day at the WGC-Dell Match Play at the end of March when the Australian won the competition.
While he might be going through a little slump, heading to Augusta and being surrounded by a winning culture could get him back on track. He also has an opportunity to get a little bit of advice at the tournament, as the Masters showed:
He's going to have his work cut out for him given the recent play of Day, who won two consecutive tournaments: the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC-Dell Match Play.
Don't forget that a healthy McIlroy will be keen to improve on the world No. 3 ranking that was given to him with the emergence of Spieth and Day.
