Jalen Reagor to Oklahoma: Sooners Land 4-Star WR Prospect
Sunday was a smashing success for the Oklahoma Sooners, who secured the commitments of two top receivers, one of which was Jalen Reagor.
Reagor confirmed he plans on joining the reigning Big 12 champions:

The 4-star recruit is the No. 45 wideout and No. 310 player overall in the 2017 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings. He's also the 46th-best recruit in the state of Texas.
The Waxahachie, Texas, native had an unspectacular 2014 season, catching seven passes for 137 yards and a touchdown, and then burst onto the scene in 2015, picking up 1,108 yards and 13 touchdowns from 64 receptions, per 247Sports.
His arrival further strengthens what was already one of the top classes in the country. The Sooners now sit third in 247Sports' composite team rankings. Reagor is also the third wideout to commit to Oklahoma, joining fellow Texans CeeDee Lamb and Charleston Rambo, the latter of whom announced his commitment Sunday as well.
Sooners outside receivers coach Dennis Simmons and offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley reveled in the school's big day on the recruiting trail:
Reagor had originally committed to Texas Tech but walked back on the decision March 10. According to the Tulsa World's Eric Bailey, he made an on-campus visit to Oklahoma on Saturday, which was likely the final push he needed to pledge his future to the Sooners.
Reagor's size could limit his potential, if only slightly; he's listed at 5'11", 182 pounds on 247Sports. His leaping ability and willingness to meet the ball at its highest point help make up for his lack of height. And there's no question Reagor is dangerous when he has the ball in his hands:
Of course, Sterling Shepard is only 5'10", and he thrived in Riley's offense in 2015, catching 86 passes for 1,288 yards and 11 touchdowns.
It would be unfair to expect Reagor to live up to the standards Shepard set in his time with the school. All the same, Reagor should become a key member of the Oklahoma offense in a few seasons, especially once he carves out a defined role in the passing game.
Reagor has all the physical tools needed to excel at wideout. He's got the speed (4.41 40-yard dash, per 247Sports) and the acceleration to burn a secondary down the field, and his agility makes him elusive in the open field.
Oklahoma would've had a successful enough day had just one of Reagor or Rambo committed to the school Sunday. The fact the Sooners got both players is almost unfair to their Big 12 rivals.
