In what promises to be one of the most unique combat sports events of all time, UR Fight 2016 will feature competition across four different fighting platforms on Internet pay-per-view Sunday night.
Boxing, mixed martial arts, professional wrestling and grappling will all be represented, and some of the biggest all-time names in each sport, such as Roy Jones Jr., Dan Severn, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio and Chael Sonnen, will be in action.
While there is no question that most of the competitors are no longer in their fighting prime, the card is brimming with star power, and the storylines are quite intriguing.

Roy Jones Jr. vs. Vyron Phillips
While UR Fight is stacked with superstars, there will be an opportunity for a new star to be made when unknown Vyron Phillips takes on Jones.
The 33-year-old Phillips won a fan vote to earn the right to face the multi-time world champion across several different weight classes. Should Phillips manage to upset his 47-year-old opponent, the St. Paul, Minnesota, native will earn $100,000.
Although Phillips is far from a household name, he is 6-3 as a professional MMA fighter and 6-1 as an amateur boxer, so he should be able to at least hold his own.
Despite having a 14-year age advantage over Jones, Phillips certainly isn't taking one of the top pound-for-pound boxers of all time lightly:
Jones was considered the best in the world at one time, but he is coming off a fourth-round knockout loss to Enzo Maccarinelli last December, and he may very well be reaching the end of the line.
Retired boxing star Carl Froch is among those who would rather see Jones ride off into the sunset than continue putting his body at risk, according to Omnisport (h/t Yahoo.com):
"Obviously Roy Jones in his prime would have beaten anybody, so to see a guy that has been at the top and secured himself financially, to now be doing things like fighting when he shouldn't be fighting and getting knocked out in that sort of fashion, that's not good for your health to get knocked out and it's a real shame.
To fight this fan for $100,000 is again another step that I'd rather not see him do. A fan is probably not going to be able to cause any damage, so he [Jones] is probably going to be in safe hands, but it's not nice to see him still competing at any level and taking punches from anybody, because he shouldn't need to be.
From my point of view, it's a shame to see Roy Jones, in my eyes one of the best fighters that has ever lived, to be in the position now where he's having to do something involving fighting moving forward.
"
While Jones has nothing left to prove, he is putting a great deal of credibility on the line by going up against someone without much of a boxing pedigree.
A loss would be devastating to Jones' legacy, but the veteran fighter should still be talented and crafty enough to get the job done.
Phillips will undoubtedly be hungry due to the big payday in front of him, however, Jones will show flashes of the boxer he once was in a unanimous-decision triumph.
Tank Abbott vs. Dan Severn
In a battle between a pair of 50-plus-year-old MMA veterans, Tank Abbott will take on Severn Sunday night inside the Octagon.
The fight was initially scheduled to pit Severn against longtime rival Ken Shamrock, but the latter received a 30-day medical suspension after his Feb. 19 clash with Royce Gracie, which necessitated a change, per John Pollock of FightNetwork.com.
That late alteration has complicated matters, though, and Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com isn't sure if the fight will even happen.
Michael Stets of MMAMania reported that Abbott may not be able to get licensed in time for Sunday's big event:
If the bout does happen, then it will feature an interesting dynamic, with Abbott being the younger fighter by seven years but Severn being the far more successful and accomplished combatant.
Abbott's career record of 10-15 is nothing to write home about, especially when compared to The Beast's mark of 101-19-7.
Severn is 57 years of age and hasn't had a fight in nearly four years, though, which should allow Abbott to win via decision should everything come together.
Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio
Angle and Mysterio are two of the most accomplished professional wrestlers to ever step into the squared circle. They have engaged in many great battles over the years, and they are primed to have at least one more Sunday night at UR Fight.
The future WWE Hall of Famers will meet for the first time in 10 years, but there is reason to believe that no shortage of chemistry will be present since they faced each other on numerous occasions in WWE, especially as part of SmackDown.
The 47-year-old Angle recently wrestled his final match for TNA, while the 41-year-old Mysterio is currently part of Lucha Underground.
There is constant chatter about each Superstar returning to WWE for one more run, and while it is unclear if there is any interest on WWE's part, a fine performance Sunday may help their case.
Former WWE creative writer Vince Russo is among those who would love to see Angle go out on his own terms with a farewell tour of sorts in wrestling's biggest company:
Angle versus Mysterio is different from the rest of the card in that the result is predetermined, and it could truly go either way because of that, but Angle has to be given a slight edge.
Since he won a gold medal in the 1996 Olympics in freestyle wrestling, Angle's legitimacy is unquestioned. The rest of the card is made up of legitimate fights, so expect UR Fight to give the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native the win for that reason.
Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping
In a rematch of their January 2012 UFC fight, Sonnen and Michael Bisping will go at it at UR Fight, but this time it will be in a grappling match.
Sonnen won their previous meeting by unanimous decision, and the 38-year-old fighter looks to have an even greater advantage over his 37-year-old opponent this time around.
The sharp-tongued Sonnen was an All-American wrestler at the University of Oregon, and he trained for the Olympics. Bisping is well-versed in a number of different areas, including jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing and karate, but he may be a bit out of his element in grappling.
According to Stets, Sonnen doesn't believe there is any way that Bisping can possibly beat him at his own game:
"I'm in training for it and I'll give you a spoiler now, Bisping has no chance.
So, [Bisping]—in fairness—is a legit tough guy. And there are so many people in the UFC that pretend to be or claim to be and then pull out and they have all these excuses. [Bisping] is a legitimate bad ass. He will take on anybody anywhere. You take this situation, which does favor me right? He is a kickboxer. That is his background and I come from a wrestling background. So he is coming into my turf. There is no weigh-ins for this event so not only is he walking into my skill set, I'm also going to have a size advantage. That's just a reality. There is no weight. [Bisping] jumped at the chance.
"
While Bisping isn't an incompetent wrestler by any means, with four submission victories to his credit during his MMA career, his experience in that regard doesn't compare to Sonnen's.
Bisping is coming off a UFC Fight Night win over Anderson Silva in February and is still an active fighter. However, the rules of this particular bout will allow Sonnen to come out on top.
