Wolfsburg vs. Bayern Munich: Score, Reaction from 2016 Bundesliga Match
Bayern Munich moved 11 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga on Saturday after Kingsley Coman and Robert Lewandowski scored to lead the reigning champions to a 2-0 win at Wolfsburg.
Pep Guardiola's men travelled to the Volkswagen Arena having triumphed over the Wolves 5-1 in the reverse fixture, but Dieter Hecking's side put up a much greater fight on home soil.

It was Der FCB who had the greater share of chances in front of goal and took their trademark chunk of possession, but Wolfsburg succeeded in frustrating their guests until the final 30 minutes of Saturday's tie.
Lewandowski's 74th-minute strike, his sixth of the campaign against Wolfsburg, extended his run of form scoring in the second period of matches, according to OptaFranz:
It took Lewandowski just 15 minutes to put five past Wolfsburg when last these two teams faced off, but Hecking had clearly learned his lesson, and the Pole looked distinctly more isolated this time around.
That being said, it was still the travelling team who started in the ascendancy, and the likes of Douglas Costa and Thomas Muller looked lively from the offset.
Xabi Alonso had a curling effort go just wide of Koen Casteels' net in the first period, but apart from that attempt, neither goalkeeper looked to be in major trouble.
Manuel Neuer even had enough space in front of him to go for one of his renowned strolls close to halfway, as evidenced by Squawka:
Wolfsburg might have clinched a 1-0 lead seconds before the half-time whistle, but Marcel Schafer dragged his shot agonisingly wide after being found in space just eights yards out from Neuer's goal.
The Wolves were level at the break, but Sky Sports' Alex Chaffer couldn't help but ponder whether that missed opportunity could come back to bite the hosts:
Just as it was in the first half, the visitors began the second period as the stronger party, and Muller might have nudged his team into a lead had he not been ruled offside.
But Guardiola and Co. were edging closer, and Franck Ribery's introduction in place of Arjen Robben proved effective as he looked to give Bayern an injection of pace down the left flank.
However, it was wing counterpart Coman who eventually broke the deadlock, volleying home a deflected Lewandowski shot from the right side of the box, ending his considerable goal drought, per WhoScored.com:
Lewandowski was prevented at that turn, but it wasn't long before he continued his scoring streak against the Wolves and added a second to provide the nail in Wolfsburg's coffin.
Ribery chested the ball down for his striker team-mate on the edge of the box before Bayern's prolific frontman rolled an attempt off the side of his boot and just inside Casteels' far post.
As shown by Bleacher Report, the Poland international has taken glee in Wolfsburg's misery this season:
The chances rained down for Bayern as Wolfsburg opened up in pursuit of their comeback, but neither outfit were able to add to the scoreline after the match ended as a terrifically open affair.
Second-placed Borussia Dortmund face Hoffenheim on Sunday, but for now, Bayern Munich will revel in the 11-point gulf that separates them from their nearest competition.
The league leaders play host to Mainz on Wednesday evening, while Wolfsburg will next travel to bottom side Hannover on Tuesday, where they can look to rediscover their winning stride.
Post-Match Reaction

Bayern ultimately ended Saturday's fixture on top of their opponent and in full control of the tie, but their grip on proceedings wasn't always so assured after heading in scoreless at the break.
It was soon after then that Ribery was introduced and changed the tempo, a revelation captain Philipp Lahm wasn't blind to in his post-match comments, per Bayern's official Twitter account:
Lewandowski also noted that he was glad to get on the scoresheet and added "it was important we remained calm" after being so frustrated in the game's earlier passages.
