Recap

Leicester City's time atop the Premier League table is starting to feel less like a fairytale and more like a reality. On Tuesday, the Premier League's biggest surprise this season pulled three points clear of Manchester City with a 2-0 victory over Liverpool.
Jamie Vardy (who else?) led the charge, notching a brace that included one of the best goals of the season. NBC Sports Soccer passed along the strike:
Everyone was left stunned by the goal, for better or worse.
“It’s nice to be in a stadium where Jamie Vardy scored the goal of the month—but in an ideal world you are not the manager of the other team," Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told John Percy of the Telegraph. "It was a world-class goal and it made the difference.”
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri was a bit more pleased.
"Fantastic goal," he told Henry Winter of the Times. "Unbelievable pass from Mahrez. Unbelievable what Vardy did. Amazing, fantastic, fantastic."
It wasn't so fantastic for Arsenal, who drew with Southampton at home and found themselves suddenly five points behind the league leaders. The Gunners have now managed to take just three points from their last four matches and a season which once looked like the club's best chance to win the league in years is suddenly slipping away from them.
City and Tottenham both won to keep pace with Leicester, while Manchester United put forth their most complete performance of the season with a 3-0 drubbing of Stoke City. The match was highlighted by the team's three goals, including a magnificent, curling strike from Anthony Martial.

A few folks even thought that was the goal of the day, including Miguel Delaney of ESPN FC:
If United continue to play like they did against Stoke, they'll be tough to keep out of a Champions League qualification spot.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, Aston Villa continued to look like a shoo-in for relegation with another loss. They remain six points behind Sunderland in 19th (who also lost), eight points away from Newcastle in 18th—the Magpies play Everton on Wednesday—and 10 points adrift of Norwich City in 17th (the Canaries lost 3-0 to Tottenham).
It's hard to imagine Villa claiming the points they need from their final 14 matches, especially after taking a measly 13 from the first 24.
Wednesday's other match will feature Chelsea against Watford.
