Ryan BaileyFeb 2, 2016

After 24 rounds of Premier League games last season, Leicester City were bottom of the table—a position they occupied for 19 consecutive games. Fast-forward 12 months, and the Foxes are top of the league with a genuine chance of taking the glory.

Leicester's 2-0 win over Liverpool dominated Wednesday morning's back pages, with most titles choosing to salute double-goal hero Jamie Vardy. The Daily Mail called it a "Volley good show," in reference to the wonderful one-touch strike that opened the scoring at the King Power stadium:

The Times called Vardy's goal-of-the-season contender a "Title Thunderbolt":

The Telegraph dared to reference Leicester as "champions" while also referencing Manchester United's rejuvenating 3-0 win over Stoke:

The Sun went with a pleasing "30-Vard stunner" pun while also claiming that Manchester City first wanted Pep Guardiola a decade ago:

The Daily Star said that Vardy "hit the jackpot" with his performance. It also claimed that Guardiola has already identified Schalke's Leroy Sane as his No. 1 target at Manchester City:

The Guardian also led with Vardy's fantastic goal while giving column inches to the new ticket price structure at Anfield. Some Liverpool fans have claimed that £77 seats in the new Main Stand are "morally unjustifiable":

The Independent went big on Vardy while also reporting Guus Hiddink's claim that John Terry's Chelsea career may not necessarily be over:

The Mirror also carried Hiddink's praise of Terry ahead of a report on Arsenal's disappointing goalless draw with Southampton:
