Barcelona Didn't Want Kaka to Present Lionel Messi with Ballon d'Or Award
Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony capped off a glorious year for Lionel Messi and Barcelona, with the Argentinian collecting his fifth such award after playing an integral part in the club's trophy-laden 2015.
But that wasn't for Barca, who tried to prevent former Real Madrid star Kaka from presenting Messi with the trophy, according to Marca (via the Sun)
Kaka was the last man to win the award before the dominance of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but the Catalans didn't approve of FIFA's choice. Instead, they wanted their star man to be greeted on stage by two of their own legends, Luis Suarez (the Spanish one who won the Ballon d'Or in 1960) and Hristo Stoichkov.
