Chelsea Transfer News: Pedro Eyed by Atletico Madrid, Seamus Coleman Rumours
Chelsea winger Pedro could be set to make a sensational return to Spanish football, as he is reportedly attracting interest from Atletico Madrid.
Juanjo Martin of Spanish outlet Don Balon (h/t Metro.co.uk's Mark Brus) linked the Spaniard and former Atleti player Diego Costa with a move to the Vicente Calderon.
Pedro was the Blues' most exciting signing in the summer when he moved to Stamford Bridge in search of more playing time, but he has struggled to make an impact amid Chelsea's current crisis, scoring two goals and assisting on three.

As JOE.co.uk's Nooruddean Choudry indicates, the 28-year-old failed to make the starting lineup in Chelsea's last two games:
"Wonder whether Pedro wishes he was still a sub at Barcelona rather than a sub at Chelsea

Pedro still has much to give, though, and has proved himself to be an excellent forward player thanks to his impressive technique, dribbling skills and clinical finishing—the qualities Los Rojiblancos could use, having scored just 22 goals in 15 La Liga games this season.
While he hasn't yet shown his true self at Stamford Bridge—indeed, few players have this year—he should be given more time to have an impact on his new club.
After all, coming to Chelsea after spending his entire career at Barcelona would have been a culture shock and required plenty to adapt to at the best of times, so with virtually all his team-mates struggling, it's of little surprise that he is too.

Meanwhile, the Blues are hoping to recruit reinforcements in January. To that end, they are reportedly nearing a move for Everton right-back Seamus Coleman, according to Alessio Alaimo of Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com (h/t Metro.co.uk's Will Giles).
"Talks between both parties are at an advanced stage, while Everton are beginning their search for a replacement," wrote Giles.
The marauding Irishman has rightfully established a reputation as one of the best attacking full-backs in the Premier League, per OptaJoe:
Though he has yet to score this season, he has still provided three assists. The Mirror's Alex Richards noted a change in role with the Toffees this season, which could indicate why he's without a goal:
The 27-year-old is also defensively capable, so with Branislav Ivanovic among the Chelsea players struggling the most this term and summer signing Baba Rahman not yet inspiring the confidence to allow Cesar Azpilicueta to switch flanks, Coleman would be an excellent signing.
Everton will be reluctant to sell one of their top players, though, and after showing their resilience in the summer as they fended the Blues off John Stones, they'll likely do so again for Coleman.
