Recruits Who Dominated Stat Sheets in 2015 High School Football Season
Plenty of high school football players show enough promise and athleticism to land on the national college recruiting radar, but not all validate that hype on game day. Some actually manage to exceed expectations, producing at a prolific rate and proving they're a cut above peers.
From scintillating wide receivers to dominant defensive linemen, we sorted through a season's worth of statistics in search of prospects who simply owned opponents all autumn. Here's a look at 10 young talents who provided further evidence of their abilities this fall.
4-Star WR Donnie Corley
1 of 10Class: 2016

2015 Season Highlights
Donnie Corley capped off his high school career in style, catching a game-winning 39-yard pass as time expired in the Division II state championship game. He rose above a defender to haul in the title-clinching snag, giving him 16 touchdown receptions as a senior.
"When I realized it would be one-on-one coverage, I had it in my mind that I was going to come down with the ball," he told Bleacher Report.
Corley finished the fall with 59 receptions for 1,403 yards, according to Dave Goricki of the Detroit News, and flashed rare range on defense. He starred in the secondary, securing 80 tackles and 10 interceptions.
Corley's efforts earned him honors as a U.S. Army All-American Player of the Year finalist. He recorded 34 touchdown catches and 19 interceptions as an upperclassman.
5-Star RB Najee Harris
2 of 10Class: 2017
High School: Antioch (Antioch, California)
Size: 6'2", 220 lbs.
247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 1 running back; No. 2 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Alabama
2015 Season Highlights
Crimson Tide fans enjoyed watching Derrick Henry rumble his way to a Heisman Trophy throughout the 2015 season. West Coast phenom Najee Harris could eventually join him in a long line of dominant Alabama runners and showed off his full arsenal of skills this fall.
Harris averaged 11.3 yards per carry, according to MaxPreps, slicing apart defenses en route to 2,744 rushing yards and 39 total touchdowns. He racked up at least 100 yards on the ground in all 12 games, surpassing 350 yards in three different contests.
It's difficult to argue against Harris' status as the nation's No. 1 junior running back after an overwhelmingly successful campaign. He's rushed for 5,007 yards and 59 touchdowns since 2014.
"All the 5-star stuff, I don't really care about all that. I don't look back and say, 'I'm the No. 1 running back. I should be able to do this or do that.' I just want to go out, play and win," Harris told Bleacher Report's Damon Sayles. "I don't care if I'm the No. 1, No. 20 or No. 100 running back in the country. I'd still be the same person."

3 of 10Class: 2016

Recruitment Status: Uncommitted; Offers include UNLV and Louisville
2015 Season Highlights
Despite his status as legendary boxer Muhammad Ali's grandson, Biaggio Ali Walsh still isn't the most well-known recruit at Bishop Gorman. Quarterback Tate Martell, a 5-star Texas A&M commit who started receiving scholarship offers in middle school, is the face of the seven-time defending state champion.
Martell told Bleacher Report in August he expected Ali Walsh to gain 2,000 rushing yards this fall. The junior lived up to those lofty goals and pushed expectations even further.
Ali Walsh matched his impressive sophomore yards-per-carry output (12.1 yards) but did so while taking on 154 additional carries in 2015, according to MaxPreps. The results were remarkable, as he accumulated 2,451 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns in 15 games.
His state championship game performance (264 rushing yards and three scores on 20 carries) punctuated a breakout campaign and set the stage for a brighter spotlight next season.

He provided relentless interior pass rush, picking up 12 sacks. Brown knocked down 11 pass attempts, recovered two fumbles, blocked a punt and scored three touchdowns (rushing, receiving and interception return).
His on-field achievements since 2013 add up to 270 tackles—81 for loss—and 33.5 sacks. Brown is the only defensive recruit nominated as a U.S. Army All-American Player of the Year finalist.

His arm and feet gave defenses fits, keeping opposing coordinators guessing which King would utilize next. He completed 67 percent of passes for 2,898 yards and 43 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps, adding another 640 yards and eight scores on the ground.
King enjoyed an incredibly productive high school career, accounting for more than 11,000 total offensive yards since 2013. He tallied 198 touchdowns and just 16 interceptions during the three-season span.

Betiku, who immigrated to the country in 2013, anchored the defensive line for a perennial Los Angeles area powerhouse.
He struck fear into the hearts of opposing passers, picking up 17 sacks in 11 games, per MaxPreps. Betiku bullied running backs too, recording 28 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
There was certainly a sense he would become one of California's elite prospects after a strong summer performance at The Opening and an eye-opening debut junior season (59 tackles, 11.5 sacks), and he wraps up an abbreviated high school career as the state's most promising talent. Betiku decommitted from UCLA during the season.
“He knows that he has different realities than the rest of the kids that we coach,” Junipero Serra coach Scott Altenberg told Bleacher Report's Sanjay Kirpalani. “He looks like he could be a 25-year-old football player in the NFL, but he’s still only 18 and he’s displaced from his family while trying to do this for his family. That’s all he really talks about."
3-Star RB Kennedy Brooks
9 of 10Class: 2017
High School: Mansfield (Mansfield, Texas)
Size: 5'10 ½", 183 lbs.
247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 24 running back; No. 331 overall

Kennedy Brooks broke out as a Lone Star State sensation this season, serving as catalyst for Mansfield's first journey beyond third-round playoff action. He accumulated 411 carries in 15 football games, according to DallasNews.com, gaining 3,522 yards on the ground.
His tour de force featured 42 touchdown runs.
Those totals easily eclipse Brooks' sophomore statistics, though he'll be hard-pressed to top them as a senior next year. His production since 2014 (4,793 rushing yards, 56 scores) makes you wonder if he's in store for a serious surge in national rankings.
